I happened upon findagrave.com while researching my genealogy and have found a lot of information. The efforts of all the volunteers who have set up memorial pages and taken photos of each cemetery, grave site, etc. is greatly appreciated; thank you. I have had some of the memorials transferred to me so that I can upload photos and information which can then be shared with other family members. My plan is to request transfer of memorials of other ancestors as long as there isn't a family member already managing them; hoping to link all of our relatives. If I am managing a memorial that you would prefer to manage, let me know and I will transfer the memorial to you. The surnames that I am starting to research are: ASAY, TUCKER, BURT/BURTT, BIRDASELL, PETERS, BREKKE, and THRONSON.|

Sorry about the location mistake
|Gord Simmons||Alfred Asay|
Yes, you are correct according to my records. Much of the information about the family history came from Helen Asay Cubberly (Illinois--deceased). The information was compiled by John C. Houston, January 23, 1948 in Lovell, Illinois. Other information was added by Rebecca Asay Sterling, summer of 2000, Atlanta, Georgia. A lot of the information before coming to America is of oral documentation. It has been put into poem form. Glad to meet you.
-Kind regards, Gord.

Hello I am an Asay relative. My grandfather was William's son, Charles Ray . His daughter Avis Jean was my mom. I have a very well done book of the family tree back to France.
|Marie & Dale V.||Aaron Van Cleave - Parental Links|
I was reviewing your suggested parental links for Aaron Van Cleave this morning, but have some question. Whereas I agree with the research that Aaron Van Cleave's parents are Isabrant Van Cleef and Janetje Aertse Van Der Bilt, I am concerned that these memorials are not accurately portraying his parents. They are memorial of "unknown" burial locations, so the dates and data are not based on headstones or burial records. A glaring challenge is, the memorial shows Janetje Aertse Van Der Bilt VanCleef died in 1702, yet all indications are Aaron VanCleef or VanCleave was born on Staten Island about 1710, even though the memorial says 1704. Either way his mother was dead before he was born.
Please review the memorials and let me know your thoughts,
Dale (Dale & Marie)

Hi Cindy - Thank you for asking, but I am not related. I just happen to have been taking random photos at Scenic Hills to post on Find A Grave. Pam

I deleted the duplicate and added the headstone to yours. I only add these when I take photos of the headstones.
Sorry for your loss,

I am a great-great-great granddaughter of Anthony and Lydia Dennis Asay. I believe Anthony and Alfred were brothers and Lydia and Phoebe were sisters. You have my permission to link Phoebe and Alfred Asay on Find-a-grave. As a novice on ancestry.com and find-a-grave I'm still learning how to navigate through the computer and not sure how to do some things correctly.

I'm very late in getting around to your correction, but I thank you for it. I had the correct month for the DOB in my own records, but had entered it incorrectly at Find A Grave. (I'd also left out the "t" in Johnston.) I've entered places of birth and death also...please double check me! (Memorial #94081291).
