Bio Photo Autumn 2016 Reflection

The year is turning from the season of abudance to the time of the harvest. Gardens and fields now become bare as the chill of Autumn fills the air. It is the time of the year, and for some the point in their living, to turn inwards, recollect, and offer up thanksgiving. For the harvest is not just of fruits, grains and flowers. It is in the results of what we have produced during our waking and working hours. By finding and reflecting on five things to be grateful for each day we cultivate an attitude of gratitude. The heart awakens and the spirit responds. The desire for inspiration arises and the warmth to sustain us through winter and all the other seasons of life is kindled.

I hope you have many opportunities for quiet time as the season of inward reflection advances. From these reflections and recollections will come that hope reborn in the spring.

"A Thankful Heart"
by Helen Steiner Rice

Take nothing for granted, for whatever you do,
The joy of enjoying is lessened for you.
For we rob our own lives
much more than we know
When we fail to respond or in any way show
Our thanks for the blessings
that daily are ours--
The warmth of the sun, the fragrance of flowers,
The beauty of twilight, the freshness of dawn,
The coolness of dew on a green velvet lawn,
The kind little deeds so thoughtfully done,
The favors of friends and the love that someone
Unselfishly gives us in a myriad of ways,
Expecting no payment and no words of praise.
Oh, great is our loss when we no longer find
A thankful response to things of this kind.
For the joy of enjoying and the fullness of living
Are found in the heart that is
filled with thanksgiving.

RE: Type O Negative ~ family connection
Hi EmilyAnn,
Thank you so much for responding!
Here is Helen's link, as well as those shown in the same order as they appear on the stone which is shown in a picture on Pete's memorial page ~
Peter P. Ratajczyk
Annette C. Ratajczyk
Peter T. Steele
Helen V. Powers
I am honored that you are going to have sponsorship over all of the family's memorials, with the exception of Pete, since famous people are sponsored by Find-a-Grave themselves! Three out of four is still beautiful!
Thank you so much, EmilyAnn!
Your friend,

Type O Negative ~ family connection
Hi EmilyAnn,
I see you sponsor both Peter P. Ratajczyk's and Annette C. Ratajczyk's memorials, while Find-a-Grave sponsors Peter T. Steele's memorial. I was wondering why you gave Annette F. Isabella's memorial to Find-a-Grave, and if you'd be interested in reclaiming it, so that way you could sponsor it? One other family member's memorial exists, and that is of Helen V. Powers, of which you still have time to sponsor that too, as no one does. This way, you would be sponsoring everyone's memorials except for Pete's, who is sponsored by Find-a-Grave. The reason I am writing this, is that it is my hope that this family of five can have all of their memorials (minus Pete, as he is famous) sponsored by the same person, and that being you, EmilyAnn! It would be nice to have them all under one collective. If you want to ask me anything, I mean absolutely anything, please feel free to write me at anytime! I would be very happy if you sent me messages! Originally, I was looking for any contributors who are descended from Annette Hyland, (Jackie Kell is related, but not descended) but I could not find any, unless they're anonymous.
I am very glad to have written you!

Alice Ifrid Neuls
Hi EmilyAnn,

Since you posted a "flower" message on the memorial of Alice Ifrid Neuls, you might have a connection to her. If so, I want to let you know I added a photo to her memorial:

The caption includes a link to her naturalization documents. That's where I got the photo.

I have no connection to Alice, I just find things online and pass them on :)

Oh look, a chicken!
Thank you so much for your visits and kind words. I wish I had more time to spend on here but life seems to be running away with me. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as well! I hope your summer has been good, and this fall will be great!

Dearest EmilyAnn,
please take my warm thanks for your lovely and friendly words which I found now on my page!
I had not a single idea such apage exists, and so I did not know anybody could write there- I am so so sorry!
Thank you, you brought a huge joy to me.
ANd so many thanks for your lovely blessings, to the ones for my family, too! I only have a sister left, I am complete alone in the world, but I am sure your blessings reached my very beloved deceased ones in heaven.
My Mother and I used to visit churchyards since I was small, I had two graves, a drowned girl, which was a student of my Mother and had to die nine years old in 1949, and a small boy, which had died about three years old in the end of the ninetenth century. He had a picture on his stone (which I later found, broiken in two pieces, on the way, and was NOT allowed to take it with me. I had to left him there and never could visit and see him again, he had disappeared from the world. He had so sad dark eyes! )
I think this is the reason why I feel so 'at home' on churchyards.
Dear EMilyAnn, I hope so much you are very well, and so are all of your beloved ones and the ones which are close to your heart!
Please let me send very dear greetings, and be blessed, too, and so may your beloved ones be!
Have a great week! All my love from berlin, Germany!
Hugs, your Annette (Anita is my nickname :) )
