|Brian Davis||RE: Adolphus George|
Thank you so much for responding to my message. Here are the URL addresses for my websites if you want to check out my research on my grandfather's service and LCI-11:
Flotilla/LCI-11 Officers and Crew:
Your father's webpage:
According to the muster rolls, your father was aboard LCI-11 from 8/23/44 - 11/3/44. This was the end of the LCI's service. During this time period, they were docked in Weymouth, England and mostly shuttled troops and supplies to France.
I would love to have some photos of your father for his website. Of course, I would also post anything else you would like to share about your father. My goal is to post the history of my grandfather's military service, all information on LCI-11 I can find, and pictures and life stories of the officers and crew.
For future correspondence, you can use my email address if more convenient:
Thanks again and I hope to hear from you soon!

I am looking for relatives of Adolphus George "AG" Walker (1907-1987). He served aboard USS LCI(L)-11 with my grandfather during World War II.
I was hoping you may be able to help me locate photos and additional info on AG Walker for my research project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
|Bonnie Lemacks||Elisha Walker born 1799|
Ron, Elisha was my 4th great grandfather. Can you tell me anything about Elisha Walker. I would love to have a copy of his will, I am in the United Daughters of the Confederacy and I need it for a proof. I can't seem to find much information. I was so thrilled when I saw this memorial

TY, I am happy I was able to help you find one of your Great Uncles.
I am a Confederate Researcher/Writer so I read much info on many Hundreds of Southern Families, over The Years. A.E Walker's info was online, about him serving in the 19th Georgia, and I did find more about him and his Marriage, through online researching, too. There are some good genealogy sites online, Try "Family Search". org. It is very helpful, with Census, Marriages, ect.
I am also a Great Granddaughter of The Walker Family, too. A.E,'s Father Elisha, was a Brother to My many Great Grand Father, Elijah Walker.
Yes, many Thousands of former Confederates and their Families fled out west, after The War due to the Millions of Acres of Georgia Destroyed in 1864. There was not much Food left here, and it was very hard to make a way of life.
Welcome to Find A Grave. God Bless.
