New "Automated" system for "Suggest A Correction/|
Submit an Edit" process deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You will now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
A much easier way for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.
For almost thirty years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.
I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.
If I have created a memorial for your family member, who isn't related to me, and YOU CAN ADD MORE INFORMATION, I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.
An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.
I will no longer respond to transfer or up-date requests that are sent to me on the Message Board. Requests sent this way many times have errors and often slow things down.
Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:
1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.
Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.
Please do not post actual death certificates on my memorials. Instead, send the information shown on the certificate, & I will add it to the memorial.
Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you for linking Nancy to her parents...I will go to cemetery soon and take a photo of her and her spouse Porter's graves. I found Porter's parents and just sent you a link request.
Keep up the great job on Find A Grave.

You're welcome. Just trying to get the word out the best we can.

Thank you for all your wonderful work in Morgan County. We cross surnames all the time. It's great to have genealogy friends on Find a grave. Please remember to add Death Certificate numbers if you know them. It's such a big thing for documentation proof.

Thanks so much for the edits on Benjamin Roy Ballard

I visited this cemetery today - could not find Roy or his parents - will try again later. Sorry.
I did take photos of several McAnally stones.

Little Grove Cemetery
Letting you know this cemetery is actually in Jefferson County's side of Walnut Hill, IL. The north side of Walnut Hill Rd. is in Marion County, and the south side of Walnut Hill Rd is in Jefferson County, IL (that's the dividing line between the two counties). Someone very rudley pointed this out to me several years ago and now I see others thought it was in Marion County, also. If you go to Little Grove Cemetery Jefferson County, IL you will find many more burials listed there in case your are searching for anyone else. Enjoy your searching.

HI: I have added the obituary with the flower but I don't think this is the correct format. The date for the obituary is August 28, 1926. The date of death is August 20, 1926. James Mack Brewer, Lincolnville, Oklahoma. Find A Grave Memorial# 12795259
