I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, my husband Bo was born and raised in Vian, Oklahoma. Bo is part Native American, we have found his Cherokee ancestors who came to Oklahoma from Georgia, they were called Early Settlers because they left a short time before the Trail of Tears of 1838. |
I am related to most of my memorials, and have written all the bio's unless otherwise noted. If I have added your family member and they are not my family, I will transfer. Find a Grave is a wonderful site, and I have made some wonderful, caring friends.

|jmy||Nancy Norwood Boren|
I'm trying to do a little family research. My 4 times great grandparents are Charles Millican Boren and Nancy Norwood Boren. I live in Lauderdale County Alabama and frequently visit the Pine (Piney) Grove cemetery. I noticed on Find A Grave that you had a posted a picture of Nancy. This is the first picture I have seen of them and virtually know nothing about them. Could you please share any information on them? I would greatly appreciate it!

|lisa little||Hi Donna!|
This may be a long shot, but my mother was raised in Vian. Her name is Kathy Lewis. Her fathers name was Jesse Barney Lewis. His mother was Lela McCoy by birth, Jackson by adoption and then she married Leander Lewis. The reason I am writing is because I found you on a JB Jacksons memorial page. I was hoping you might have some information that could help me find out what happened to Lela's biological parents and her life history being raised by JB. I also thought that it was neat that my grandfathers name is also JB, Jesse Barney. If I have accurate information I would love to learn more from you, as I am a newbie at this :) God Bless!

I loved your research. I also have trouble with the first four children. Clement IV, William, Judith and Joseph. Especially Judith and Joseph. Judith was born 6-24-1674 and Joseph was born 12-4-1674. I always thought one was born in in 1673 or 1675. But it makes sense if Judith was from Rachel's first marriage. And Joseph was from Clement Weaver first marriage. I have Clement and Rachel having Benjamin (1682), Rachel (24 December 1684-18 Feb 1711), Rebecca (1686-1716) and Alice (1688).
I am related through Rachel by marriage to Timothy Peckham in 1706.
I have Clement IV (1669-19 Feb 1738), William (1670-1719) and Joseph (12-4-1674 to 11 Jul 1751) and Judith born 24 Jun 1674 and died 1751.

I have been doing research on my Native American family tree. I came across the pages for White Tobacco Sam and Creek Sam and noticed the photos. Do you have any information on that family? Thank you for your work!

As far as I know it is Andrews. That book did not list her as having been married before she married Weaver. But it is possible that she did marry a man name Andrews and he died early on into their marriage. That happened to my maternal 2x great grandmother. Her first husband died less than a year after they married (and a month before their daughter was born) and her 2nd husband (whom I descend from) adopted the little girl. I doubt we'll ever know.

I am not if this is new info or if you already know this, but apparently Rachel was Clement's second wife. He married his first wife in abt 1668. They had at least one child, a son William, that I know of. There might be more. Nothing seems to be known about her. Clement and Rachel married in 1677. After Clement died, Rachel married a William Bennett in abt 1693. I have noticed that Rachel's daughter Judith (Judia/Judea) was born in 1674, three years before Rachel married Clement. The book "New England Marriages Prior to 1700" by Clarence Torrey on Ancestry indicate that her marriage to Clement was her first. Given that, I think it's possible that Judith was illegitimate and maybe Clement adopted her upon marrying Rachel. Either that or Judith's year of birth is wrong. That's what I think anyway.
