my email...RUTH BROWN EGAN/ Finley
I am impressed with your grasp of these things.Since I am here where John Finley was mayor, and see that his father Andrew left his large "John Hancock" on my five greats grandfather's will, I have a taste for Finley's...so Scots! My five greats grandmother,Sarah Smith (1753-1832) was a Scot, who married in Ulster before coming to America. Their Find A Grave memorials are 59630527 and 156324993. My email is eganruth8@gmail.com. I got the Smith/Finley five generation sheet from Wayne County,Indiana Genealogical Society. I was lookng for a connection. Now that I am on THIS page, I cannot see your question. I could get back to you. The family sheet goes back to John Findley (8 May 1776-9 Sep 1813 Westmoreland County,Pennsylvania), married 1791 in Bedford, Chester County,Pennsylvania to Mary Power (20 Jul 1774 Chester Co. PA.-9 Oct 1811 ) . Find A Grave memorial 38737089. Hope this helps. Ring my bell anytime. Blessings, Ruth Egan P.S. JOhn Finley served in the early Indinana Stste Legislature, colned/promulgated the term "hoosier", and credited with routing the "new" National Road" through Richmond, Indiana, his city.

RE: re Mary Crawford Ford
One more name that I'd like to run by you is George W. Crawford born in NC around 1811. He lived with wife Mahala in Knox County Ky in 1860. Is he on your tree?

Mary Crawford Ford
Hi. Wondering if you have done any searching on Mary Crawford's family? They lived in Knox County Ky in 1860. Her father George W. Crawford came from NC. If you know anyone who has done research on the Crawford's please let me know.

William Dodson 36769288
36769288 Please remove the photographs from this memorial. These pictures are cropped from photos I took in middle TN and are on memorial 30629518 in TN. They do not belong to this William Dodson. The dates are different. Reba Bain, has made "MANY, MANY" errors in posting information on the middle TN stones and she does not correct or update them when requested. This William Dodson appears to be from VA/KY/MO and his dates are different from the William Dodson of TN born and died different dates.

I've add someone ask me where these stones really are and please don't copy pictures of stones from other sources on Find A Grave or other sites. That is a Find A Grave rule. If these were taken in MO by you then it's a big coincidence that they match my stones in TN and I will then apologize.

I've taken thousands of photographs for TN, WI and MN primarily and I'm totally glad for others to use them outside of Find A Grave but wish a request for me to post or re-post on Find A Grave.

(Thanks...p.s. take this kindly...not angrily)

Haldor Erickson Dokken
Seems we have common cousins. I have read your information on Find A Grave. Haldor Erickson Dokken was my great grandfathers brother. My great grandfather was Martin. He stayed behind in Norway when his siblings emigrated to America. I would like to have contact with my cousins in USA. As a matter of fact I wisited Wisconsin in May. I stayed in Hudson and in Mt. Horeb while I wisited my husbands relatives.

George Ott West Haven
I see that the post I put up on George Ott awhile back has been taken down. At the time I put the post up there were no posts from the old West Haven Cemetery so I with information given me by the township supervisor entered every name in the old cemetery including George and his wife Susan who are buried there.

I live very nearby the cemetery in New Haven Township. George Ott would be my 3rd great-grandfather. George Ott was my great-grandma Blanche(Ott) Brown's grandfather. She was the daughter of Ellis Ott, the son of George Ott and my 2nd Great Grandfather. Ellis and his wife Lydia Ann (Pettit) Ott had seven children: Ella,Silas,John,Bessie,Mabel,Blanch and Pearl. The brick house that Ellis built is about 100 yards east of where George and Susan are buried and my great aunt Pearl lived there at the time of here death. George's home was located just north of that home on the back side of the 40 acre farm that George gave to Ellis. I drive by that house daily as I go to Owosso.

I hope this information is helpful to those doing genealogy.
