NOTICE:
I am not a fan of the new Edit Suggestions. I can't research every change suggested - there are just too many. Also, there is nothing to show who the source of the information is, so I become the source of information that I didn't contribute and know nothing about. If you want something changed, contact me thru the Edit function and make your case. - Thanks.

If you are one of those folks who disables your messages and has no email address listed, in other words, NO WAY TO CONTACT, I will in all likelihood ignore your message to me. Nothing personal, but sometimes I need to confirm things.

(Note: I don't have Internet access where I am now and I don't often get to a place where I can use it. I appreciate all the messages and Littlejohn 'finds'. Please be VERY patient if you need a response. And be understanding that I can no longer reply to each message. Thanks so much and have a fun day!)

I kinda enjoy a-trompin' 'round the graveyards, sometimes. Ya know? I like the peace and quiet.

Most of my entries are not related. If I have made an entry that you don't want to see deleted, and is of no interest to me, now would be a good time for you to take it. Just say so.

PHOTOGRAPHERS: Don't crop all the background out of your photos so that only the gravestone is left! Surely you don't remove everything but the face when you take a photo of a family member. Leave something to look at.

If you have a better photo to replace one of mine, lemme know. If I agree I'll delete mine.

ARE YOU, YOU??
Hi ! if this is Mark Littlejohn and Ona Mae was your Grandmother, then you are my cousin... This is
Carol Ann. I did this Ancestory thing for several years and then when Louis died I wasn't very interested .... so I let it lapse for the past three and a half years... Everything is gone that i once had and Now i am playing catch up. Your cousin Bubba Tomlinson has two daughters that go to Belmont University in Nashville and he has passed the bar in Tennessee. Jackie, the eldest of his daughters took piano from me for about 15 years and she and my Grandson, Dakota, were in the same class at Rockwall High School... There is very little family for me to catch you up on. There are only three of us left that had Tomlinson names at one time ... you and your brother make five left of the family of Porter Lee Tomlinson left. we all have children but we don't have any body that will carry the Tomlinson name forward. If you aren't Mark my cousin .... then i feel really stupid and if you are yay!! I have found famiuly.. by the way I really don't like the cemetary in Palmer...right out there on the Highway and no trees... ick... Carol Ann Tomlinson-Mehaffet

Good to hear from you. I know how you feel, its takes the right mood to try and re-fix what was fixed in the first place. I been working on doing that same thing the last few days. It's not as much fun the second time around. I'm still here if you need any help. Take care!

Infant Sons-Black
I was adding photos and the photos I took of the two Black infants look like the same ones in Rattan Cemetery. I'm leaving the listing in Oaklawn for now. I guess they wanted the stones in Rattan but looks like the bodies are in Oaklawn. Went back to find them and now I can't find them.

Henry Boren
I thought you might like to know about two men involved in the Lee-Peacock feud, since you have a virtual cemetery for it. Henry Boren, memorial# 40691554.
The other is his nephew, Alexander Boren, memorial# 60157063.
Henry was supposedly involved in Bob Lee's death, and was shot in revenge by a nephew. That nephew then shot and wounded Alexander as he was making his escape.

RE: Brian Madden
Thank you so much for transferring his memorial to me. I will indeed take good care of him.
I will verify, but his sister (Mary Ann) posted that Sheila was being buried "with her parents and brother" at Odd Fellows.

Good Morning, we were wondering if you would allow us to use your pictures in our family tree? A picture always adds to the story and provides so much information - in this case the way her first name was spelled, amazing. Our family wasn't the best of spellers, which is a trait I received - there are funny stories to be told on our family spelling, but another time. As always we will cite both Find A Grave and you, the photographer as our source. We know it's the right thing to do and our way of letting others know who truly deserves the Thank You. Thanks so much for considering our request. S
