RE: Charlotte Strickling Rineman
Oops, I got a bit mixed up: George Shade is the brother of Catherine Shade Stricklin, who is Charlotte's mother. George Shade, Henry Shade, John Shade, Margaret Shade Miller and Catherine Shade Stricklin were the 5 children of John Shade (d.1824) and his wife Catharine. In 1798, they lived in a log house in Manchester, Maryland.

Charlotte Strickling Rineman
Jim, I have been writing to you about my dad's side, the DiBlasi family. I noticed you are maintaining a memorial for Charlotte Strickling Rineman. I am a distant cousin of Charlotte's on my Mom's side. Charlotte's parents were Joshua and Catharine Shade Strickling. Catharine Shade Strickling's brother, George Shade, was my 4x great grandfather. You can follow the trail, right here on Find-a-Grave, from my Mom back: Mary Margaret Fold DiBlasi, Margaret E. Ward Fold, Mamie Pope Ward, Margaret Erb Pope, Mary Ellen Shade Erb, George Shade. Are you related to Charlitte Strickling Rineman? If so, that would make us distant cousins!

RE: DiBlasi family
I do plan on putting up photo's. I've added my father's parents (Giuseppi and Francesca DiBlasi). Someone already added Steve's grandparents (Francesco and Maria DiBlasi). Two brothers: Giuseppi and Francesco DiBlasi married two sisters: Francesca and Maria Rotondo.

Giuseppi and Francesca had the following children:
Stella Ross, Mary Gunn, Jennie Raymond, Angela Stritch, Josephine Parker, John DiBlasi (my dad) and Frances Franco. Stella, Mary, Jennie, Angela, Josephine and Frances are all buried at Holy Redeemer).

Francesco and Maria DiBlasi had the following children: Baby Stellotz (buried at St. Vincents), Fannie DiBlasi (died 1979), "Little" John DiBlasi (smoked a cigar and spent hours at Cross Street Market), Sam DiBlasi (Steve's father), Josephine Faulstitch, Stella Rojas and Joseph DiBlasi (Died at age 55 in 1987; executive at Druid Hill Savings and Loan). All are deceased and I believe most are buried at Holy Redeemer).

RE: Thurston Crounse
I so appreciate your help. My brother was like a week old when he died. His last name was Crounse and I believe his first name was after my Dad Thurston. I believe the year was or or about 1958. Thank you so much.

RE: Thurston Crounse
Thanks so much Jim. I will give this number a try. I do not have my brothers birth or death date. Both my parents are deceased and they didn't give many details while they were living. Again thank you

RE: DiBlasi family
Yes, Jim, John & Mary DiBlasi at Cedar Hill are my parents. Thank you for posting photo's of their memorial markers! Steve DiBlasi, his brother Sam DiBlasi Jr and their father Sam DiBlasi Sr., and Sam Sr's brother "Little" John DiBlasi (smoked a cigar, wore thick glasses, worked at the market) are all my cousins. They all bowled at Southway. Sam Sr and "Little" John DiBlasi are buried at Holy Redeemer Cemetery - those two were "double first cousins" with my dad: John DiBlasi Sr., because Sam and little John's father, Frank DiBlasi and my dad's father, Giuseppe DiBlasi were brothers ... AND, Sam and little John's mother, Maria Rotondo and my dad's mother, Francesca Rotondo were sisters.

Hi Jim

Just checking in to see if you had a chance to look at those baby gravestones?

Thank you

Voshell Memorial Gardens
Hello Jim

My uncle Albert Everhart is buried at Voshell and is included as find a grave id #160922593. I had an infant brother who was buried on top of Albert, but I cannot find any record of him. His name was Thurston Crounse. I have tried calling Voshell at 410-633-5058, but it is no longer Voshell's phone number. Is there any help you can provide regarding information on my brothers records.

Thank you,

Victoria Henwood
Hi, my name is Victoria Henwood, wife of Daryl Henwood. I noticed you are looking for Henwoods in the Philadelphia area. I'm interested. Daryl's uncle David shared family history that his Father, David Daniel Henwood, had relatives in Philadelphia. Daryl's father, John Vernon Henwood, passed away when he was 2 yrs. old. I'm always hunting.

RE: Anna Henwood

Section and plot info is already on the memorial -- it's Merion 120. You can also review West Laurel Hill Cemetery online database and potentially order lot records for Anna Henwood or anyone else if you wish --

Happy Hunting!
