Thank you to all who have spent hours adding memorials, walking cemeteries, locating grave sites, and photographing cemeteries so the rest of us can see the final resting place of our relatives for the first time!
I am a mom of 3 girls - I have always liked walking the cemetery and seeing the older stones, and now my youngest loves looking for the oldest dates!!
If you have not read the FAQs, please take the time to do so. They are in place to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the site.
ALL MY PHOTOS AND DATES/BIO'S ARE PUBLIC. FEEL FREE TO COPY FOR YOUR ANCESTRY.COM. I HOPE TO HELP, NOT HINDER PEOPLE RESEARCHING THEIR PAST. IF YOU COULD - JUST ACKNOWLEDGE WHERE YOU DID GET YOUR INFO/PICS FROM. THANK YOU.
TRANSFERS: With any findagrave memorial that I maintain, if you are a closer relative than I, I will transfer. If I have no connection and you have some connection (even friendship), I will transfer. Send a transfer request using "Suggest a Correction" under the "Edit" tab on the memorial page. Send a request for each memorial that you want. TRANSFER REQUESTS VIA MESSAGES MAY GET MISSED.
My FIND A GRAVE pet peeve - - - when you see a memorial and it's someone you know/related too - and all the person who submitted has is basic info (such as years of of birth and death and the cemetery). No photo of grave, or any actual dates, etc... This is find a GRAVE - not find year of birth/death. Then when you go to request transfer - it says NO TRANSFERS. Why are you bothering putting it up at all? Just a pet peeve - I'll stop ranting. I don't understand why people go through cemeteries and list all graves and yet are so RUDE when transfers are requested for family members - even though they may be Aunt, Uncles, Cousins, etc... Why put the memorials up if you don't maintain them - being that duplicates aren't supposed to be made - what are family members to do? UGH
CORRECTIONS and ADDITIONS I do not make duplicate memorials on purpose (see FAQ on duplicates), but sometimes they just happen; and I will delete mine as soon as notified. If you find any erroneous information or broken links, please let me know so we can correct those too. If you want us to add links, please put the memorial number in your request. PLEASE make requests through the EDIT button in top right corner of memorial and the "Suggest a Correction" option. CORRECTIONS VIA MESSAGES MAY GET MISSED.

 | DeSimones Ok, I transferred James and Irma to you. I also gave you their daughter Lenore.
The dates for Lenore on the headstone don't match the information that I have, which is what I put on the memorial. Maybe you can confirm which is correct since you are closer to that side of the family. I have seen headstones that have errors, unfortunately.
I'd love it if you'd share anything that you have on this branch of the family, pics, stories. What I have is so limited. | | | Boneyard Butterfly
 | DeSimones No, I never met them. However, my husband is a direct descendant of Ralph DeSimone, James' older brother. Ralph moved to California where he remained until his death.
If you would like, I can transfer them to you, since you actually knew them. I'm sure you have a lot of information you could put on their memorials. Let me know if you'd like that. | | | Boneyard Butterfly
 | DeSimones Hi, Lisa!
Thank you for leaving flowers for James & Irma DeSimone. Did you know them personally? | | | cataholic4ever
 | RE: sorry Anna m. Alois Resig and their son Fred Resig m. Irma Boslet. Irma's brother Homer was my grandfather.
So, in a round about way (lol) there is a connection, but not a direct connection. It's all through marriages. :) | | | cataholic4ever
 | RE: sorry Lol, that's ok.
I think then in a far off way we are related :)
Anna Seidel m. Alois Resig is in my line. (Through the Resig side) Their son Fred married Irma Boslet. A very far off link, but I wanted to make sure they were the same parents.
I think that other person sticks strictly to the Find A Grave guidelines of
"This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."
So, I am guessing since you said great-great (not just great) that they think that is out of Find A Grave guidelines??
I don't know for sure, sorry I can't help with that one.
I will be going back and trying to get more pictures soon too, so if you need any pics let me know. I have been slowly picking away at the amount of pictures needed so maybe I'm getting close to getting them all?? LOL
Have a great week!!

 | John Aloysius Seidel Hi,
I see you maybe related to some Seidels in St. Marys Cemetery?
I was wondering if you know who John's parents are?
Thanks

 | RE: Margaret Holden Absolutely. Please feel free to use it as you see fit.

 | John Campbell Please take any photo you want. I was photographing West Nottingham because it is one of oldest cemeteries in Cecil County and the stones are beginning to fade. The whole cemetery needs to be photographed. Anything I post online is free to anyone.

 | RE: Curious LoL, no not related.
I have not even met the other ladies yet. Another very nice lady is Zella.
I have just found some very good friends here that share my "hobby".
I like to take photos mostly and try to help others find stones or family they haven't been able to find. Some of the other ladies either help me find photos of stones I can't find or help me with the Greenwood cemetery. I'm mostly working on that cemetery and on the side trying to help with St. John and St. Mary here in Altoona.
I think only one of the other ladys lives here in Altoona. I think Kat lives in New Jersey and Zella lives in Ohio.
All the ladies are very helpful though and I have enjoyed being on findagrave to help others as well.
:)
Hope your having a great week!
