I live in East Tennessee. My husband and I have been doing genealogy for about 40 years on the Reneau/Reno and Damewood lines and have traveled to many states gathering information on these lines. We have photographed some tombstones on our lines in the East Tennessee area and I have added them to Find-A-Grave. I am not kin to most of the people in Lynnhurst and Greenwood but have photographed and added them to Find-A-Grave as a service to others who are researching their ancestors.

I will handle your suggestions to memorials as I have time. From now on I will only make transfers if it is your immediate family, i.e., your children, parents, siblings, grandparents.

RE: Alexis Farmer
Thank you, now that it's spring I see more people there replacing the arrangements and cleaning up from winter. I just wish the cemetery grounds keepers would stop driving their tractors over the stones, many are broken because of it. I wanted to get a picture of Little Alexis once her family left because it was so beautifully done. Lots of color in such a drab place.

I'll probably see you out graving sometime. I'll be the one that just tripped and went knee deep in mud. :-)I'm graceful like that.

Take care,
Kris

Alexis Farmer
Hi Ms. Damewood,

The last few weekends I have been doing photo requests at Lynnhurst Cemetery in North Knox and I came across a family that was decorating a stone for spring. It was beautifully done and I got a picture of it after they left. It was one of the postings you made so I added it to the memorial. She also had a smaller original stone that I added as well. I hope you don't mind. Please let me know so I can delete it if need be.

Thank you,
Kris aka mslomilomi

Norman Reno
Hi,
Could you please let me know how you came about the cemetery listing for Norman Reno? You have him listed in Harris Cemetery, Galesburg, IL. I am from Galesburg & I cannot find a single person who has heard of Harris Cemetery. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Angelic

RE: Reno/Reneau
I probably should have warned you about the glut of stuff I was sending. I'm distantly related via my maternal grandfather's family (Garrison). I started on the family tree in about 1978, and had accumulated obits and information, just never got around to posting it until now. For now I've gone through all of my Reno obits. Working now on the T's. I've got over 8,200 obits on file, always adding more, always looking for more.

RE: Chamberville Cemetery
No I meant the one in Denton Texas. there is only one memorial page listed and I was wondering if this was a family plot or a big graveyard or a small one they had moved someplace else.

I am looking for Joplin/Edmonds/Girard/Reeves graves and thought maybe they could be there

Chamberville Cemetery
I was wondering is or was Chamberville Cemetery a big graveyard or family owned? Is it still there or have they moved or built on top of it?

I have some family members that lived in Denton county and I cant find them so I am ruling possibilities as I go along the way.

Thena Barbara Shoemake Reneau
Sue, Thena is my 1 cousin 2X removed. She was married to William Lafayette Reneau and they lived in Nacogdoches County, Texas. I've been researching the Shoemake, Pitts, Walters and Landrum families for over 25 years and have extensive information, including photos, on ancestry.com. I have information on Thena's parents Erasmus and Docia Pitts Shoemake. I'm wondering if you have any information concerning where her grandparents Elijah and Elizabeth Pitts Landrum Shoemake might be buried. Elijah ws my 2nd great grandfather and Elizabeth my 3rd great grandmother (long story). I think I have it narowed down to the Old Brister (aka Old Harmony) or Harmony Cemetery. Funeral Home records indicate that their son Ransom was buried in the Old Harmony Cemetery. Any info you migh thave would be appreciated. I can be reached either by the web site or cshoemake61@gmail.com. Thanks! Chuck

Barton Scroggin Reneau
Good morning...I was driving around my area the other day looking for some of my
ancestors and came across this little cemetery in Slocomb, AL; Geneva County. There were
3 or 4 unmarked graves and two headstones with Barton Scroggin Reneau and his wife
Margaret. I added their memorials to the right cemetery "Providence Cemetery".
Just thought you might like to know, especially with your name. I thought they might be
family of yours. Their memorial #'s are: 106495590 & 106495651. Just a little note for
you: This cemetery that they have on here "Providence" its exactly where they
say it is, but none of the names they have listed on here are there. The only two with
names is your Barton & Margaret. I spoke with the man that owns the property that this cemetery is on and he said that the church was across the street and burned down a long long time ago. Also he said that there was a rumor that a lot of graves that you can't see are all over his property....Have a wonderful day and i hope this helps you in search of your
family...Sonya...
