Drannon "Dan" BOONE Sr.,
1 January 1930 - 9 February 1999

Drannon "Dan" BOONE Sr., age 69, passed away February February 9th, at the home of his caregiver, Dorothy Crismon.

He was born in Morgan, Cleveland Co., Oklahoma, and moved to Buckeye, Arizona in 1943. He worked as a cowboy herding cattle, then he moved to Grayson, California in 1945, and to Modesto, in 1948.
Enlisting in the Navy. Dan and his brother, Paul Boone, served on the same ship, the USS HAMUL, during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Boone.

He is survived by his daughter, Tami Boone Quinones; his caregiver, Dorothy Crismon ; daughter-in-law Teresa Boone; brother, Paul Boone; son Drannon E. Boone Jr.; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 13th, at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, California.

Hello,
If you are interested I have an up close photo of the memorial in Tampa to the USCGC Blackthorn as well as a photo of the memorial that includes the US flag and the ships anchor. I would be happy to add one or both to his memorial.
