RE: Elizabeth Holder
Well your information is absolutely INCORRECT. I don't care what you "show". You have no credible source to back up any of your information. You need to correct your info so that other people who just copy stuff and don't bother to verify their sources won't keep spreading misinformation.

Christopher Holder was born in 1631 and didn't come to America until 1656.

Christopher came to America on the SPEEDWELL in 1656.

Holder doesn't even MEET Mary Scott until AFTER he is BANISHED from MA and flees to Rhode Island by Gov. Endicott.

And they were married 12 Aug in England when he was banished by Gov Endicott.

And he married Hope Clifton in 1665.

" It has been said that he had four children by each wife, and that his second wife was Elizabeth Holder. One Christopher Holder ofOlveston, Co., Gloucester, England, came to Boston in 1656, but, since he espoused the views of the Quakers, he was banished in 1659 and fled to Newport, R.I. He married, 12 Aug. 1660, Mary Scott, sister of the famous Ann Hutchinson. Among his nine children born at Newport was Elizabeth Holder, born 4 Jan. 1664/5. (Dates uncertain.) No other Holder family has been found in New England before 1700."

On another note.... about William Sr.

"As mentioned previously, some records state William Chase's wife's last name was Townley. This has been disproved. There was a Townley linked to the Aquila Chase line ofChesham, Buckinghamshire, England, however they are linked through the Hathaways and not through William (Cape Cod) Chase. The name Townley is a name of "quality" and has been left on this record for any future research. "
While there is no absolute proof that William and Mary Hammond were the grandparents of William, born 1597,there is evidence that this is so.

Elizabeth Holder
I'm curious as to how Elizabeth Holder, who was born after 1660, married William Chase Jr, b. 1621/2 when Christopher Holder wasn't born til 1631 and didn't come to America until 1656, Mary Scott wasn't born until 1637 and Christopher Jr wasn't born til 1666.

Elizabeth Holder was NOT the wife of William Chase Jr.

RE: Winchell Line
Sure does except for the last one. David Winchell was one of them too. Yes distant cousins we are.

Winchell Line
I also have Winchell blood through my mother Blanche Winchell Cullen. Her father was Ernest Winchell Sr. born to William Winchell (1865) who was the son of Joseph Winchell born around 1840 born to Hiram Winchell(1803) and Sarah (1812) Winchell. I would have to pull out my research that took me all the way back to Robert Winchell (abt 1608). Therefore he is the son of Thomas Winchell and beyond. So we must be related in some way.

Just happened to notice note on "Flower Area" reads Aunt rather than Uncle. :)

RE: Jones Connections
Great to meet you and have another Jones/Clark cosuin connection. My line is Erasmus/Rachel, Nelson/Carrie, Roy/Nellie, Kenneth/Kathryn. I look forward to sharing information and am planning a trip to Maryland and the National Archives this summer. Should be the ticket to unlocking the Erasmus Jones mystery. Not sure about Erasmus West Jones. I have followed that lead to negative results but am always open to the possibility. Happy ancestor hunting! Bob

Jones Connections
Hi Elton! I have noticed your flowers at memorials for my great grandfather, Nelson M. Jones in Monticello as well as his parents. Your relationship to Rachel Clark Jones in Utica, Ohio (who is my great great grandmother)is as a third great grand aunt to you. So, greetings cousin! Tell me about your line to Rachel. I am eager to understand the connection. Thanks in advance. I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: james hair
Thanks for getting back to me so soon. If you look at Riverview Cem in Jackson Cty in Indiana you will see several of my Davis and Coombs family. James W Mem#35185254 I believe to be my gr gr gr grandfather. His wife's name was Laura born 1848 but don't know her death yet. If it is him and he died very young she may have remarried. My John D Mem80918755 is my gr gr grandfather. His daughter Dorothy Dora is my grandmother. And yes she did have a twin named Dora Dorothy who married Leo Leach. I have not found Dora's grave yet. It appears that when James W died he must have wanted to go back to Iowa to be buried. I'm just not sure. I feel pretty sure I'm looking for a James W.
