We have lost a Firefighter Friend, David Gann., My Cousin, Frances Edna Green Byrd., |
Currently, My Uncle Michael was dis connected from life support.
I put their memorials under New Memorials..
Michael linked to my Grandparents.
We, along with friends and relatives have seen more
" Obit especially Online Obit Hunters" that Create Memorials before the deceased buried, had their service for cremation etc. Maybe, some of you have seen this, too. The family has not had time to create their own memorial dealing with funerals, grieve, and more. Give the family an average of two months. It took three weeks for my dad to be cremated and advise me. The funeral home did make clerical errors making me go six trips, which is not the typical normal, surely.
My cousin created a memorial for his sister, he then seen one obit hunter did one. He requested, would he delete his as he already posted pictures but he was told No, mine was done first. You delete yours' then I will transfer your sister to you.
It is about the numbers one can post on this site?
That is one reason, we decided to do my Uncle Michael's Memorial before Someone outside the family does one, then we must ask for a transfer
Thank You for Your Visits to My Dad and M Parents
I am caring for my Mother, since the death of my Father.
I am not on this site daily. Thank You for Your Understanding and Your Visits to Our Memorials. We are checking For Edits. And, visit your memorials as we can. Blessings to each of You.
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Carolyn, sorry for the mix ups. I don't know why the headstone photo for Kittie disappeared...I think I got everything straightened out now, please let me know.
|Rev. Edward F. Steiner||RE: Sandra Marie Crumpler Frensley|
Bo and Sandra were my parishioners when I was pastor of St. Joseph Church in Madison. I knew them well. I knew Bob but not as well as Bo. Msgr. Al Humbrecht is also a great friend.
|Carol Kaye||RE: Ragland|
It is done!

Carolyn, I do not know him, I am just a recorder of cemeteries for Helen McKeown who is a Ohio County Historian. Anita Austill is also a recorder. If you would like me to transfer this memorial to you, I would be happy to. Just send me the membership number of who ever wants to be responsible.
|Rev. Edward F. Steiner||RE: Sandra Marie Crumpler Frensley|
You are most welcome! Sandra was a great person!
|DJ Hutcherson ||RE: Herman Lee South. Headstone|
Not a problem, I'm very glad I could help. I just uploaded your other request for Kittie South, who is buried with her husband(?) Herman (1866-1932) Those are the only South markers that I saw, though I was only looking for those two. I live just a few miles away on Hwy 70 and I am currently in the process of cleaning another old cemetery right down the road from the Corlew cemetery. I might have a chance this afternoon to run by there, and I will look for other South's.
