Hi Jeff, they got his dates and the spelling of his last name wrong? I don't recall informing you of his burial at Presbyterian. It was just recently that I learned how to look at the burial records. His last name and the lady resting beside him in an unmarked grave are spelled Mingea in the burial book.

Hi Jeff, I was out at Presbyterian Cemetery yesterday trying to fulfill some photo requests when I came upon this gentleman's grave. His marker caught my eye due to how it appears to have been recently placed. There are no other markers in the general area where he rests, but the burial records show there is a woman by the name of Mary Louise Latham Mingea resting directly beside him. She was buried October 6, 1924 at the age of 86 years old. I assume she was his wife? The plot was purchased by a Dr W Latham, whom I assume would be her father. I sent you a couple of edits as to Sgt Mingea's exact burial spot, but the dates on his marker are different than what you have on his memorial. If you requested the marker for him, did you check to see if you could also get one for his wife, if Mary Louise is in fact his wife?

Jeff Capt George Bush tomb stone reads Capt but I guess it reads this because George and his brothers were waterman. I have looked and will continue to search. I do believe your information is right. Thanks, Gale

I have no idea what the cemetery rules are.
Here's a link for Barbour County Cemeteries with directions.Good Luck.

Sorry, I'm in California. I don't have any further info.
Jeff, I added the photo per your request for Valentine Poling at the Crossroads Cemetery, Barbour Co., WV. This is the direction to that cemetery: from Philippi, WV, take Rt. 250 south to Rt. 38 E and travel 4.5 miles. You will come to a crossroads that says Tacy Road - large brick church will be on the left with cemetery. You can't miss it.
