I am happy to fill requests for many of the local cemeteries including Fort Snelling, Oakland, Roselawn, Elmhurst, and Forest Lawn. You are welcome to request a photo by leaving a message on my contributor page.|
I was a professional photographer for eleven years and a few years ago I found that I enjoy photographing cemeteries. I'm not concerned with inflating my 'volunteer photo' numbers therefore I take as many photos as possible each time I go to the cemetery. What matters is that others are able to see a picture of a loved one's grave.
Please feel free to use any of my photos for your personal use. It would be best to credit the photo back to me for the simple fact that others may be interested in knowing the origin of the photo.
If you would like a memorial transferred to you, I would prefer that you use the Edit button in order to make sure the correct person is transferred to you.
On occasion I do make trips to the MN History Center so if you would like death/burial information for someone (I do this voluntarily), please leave a message for me with the person's full name, date of death, and certificate number if you have one.

|George DeKay||Caroline Amanda Thomas memorial|
There is a problem in this memorial.
She is the wife of George Wendall THOMAS however
for some reason she is also linked as the daughter of George's mother hence ALSO becomes George's sister!
What needs to be removed is the link between Caroline and Elizabeth McIndoo Thomas Lawrence.
After this is done the connection as sibling to George will likely disappear.
I do not know Caroline's maiden name nor her parents hence there would be no link to either one
until this is known.

That makes sense. I was just thinking about my crummy timing in getting excited about this work right at the least favourable time of year. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for the transfers!

Thank you very much for passing John over to us. Added a lot to his bio and have more to go. Need to verify his parents by a second source before linking. Thank you for your contribution to Find-a-Grave. Very much appreciated. Bill Neff
|Shirley Welch Summers||Boughton family, Arden cemetery|
Thank you so much for taking care of my suggested edits so promptly! I appreciate it so much. I am continuing to research this family and will send you updates as I verify them. Again, thanks for all your work with Find A Grave. Shirley

Did you receive a request for transfer of three memorials in this family?
Thanks for your consideration on this.
|Arleigh Firby||Speed Family|
Hello Christina. I am researching the Speed family tree. Would love photos of grave stones if possible on a few family members that I know are in Elmwood and/or St Vital cemetery.
1. Alice Speed-b: 11 Oct 1861 d: 4 Jan 1955
2. Richard Speed-b: 1865 d: 1922
3. George Andrew Speed-b: 7 May 1894 d: Aug 1975
4. Margaret Adeline-d: 1937
There may be several more Speeds buried in Winnipeg, but I don't have that information yet but will keep working.
Thank you for what you do. This kind of information is invaluable as families get pieced together.

WHO ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ???
I ALWAYS TYPE MAIDEN NAMES IN CAPITALS (AS I HAVE BAD EYESIGHT) & IT MAKES IT EASIER TO TELL FROM A MARRIED NAME.
BECAUSE YOU REFUSED MY ADJUSTMENTS & DID THEM YOURSELF, I DON'T GET CONFIRMATION FROM FIND A GRAVE ON WHO THEY ARE.

Thank you, Christina
Have an awesome day!
|Mhairi Patterson||RE: Skubovius|
My uncle Gustav Schmitke married Jannie Skubovius in Winnipeg on Dec 15, 1912.
They then homesteaded in Moosehorn, Manitoba. They had two children, Elsa born in Moosehorn on Jan 1 1916, and Walter born on Nov 18, 1920.
She is still listed on the 1921 census living in Moosehorn with Gustav and the two children, Jannie is listed as a Baptist, she was only 32 years of age.
In April of 1923, my uncle Gustav Schmitke remarried as a widow.
Therefore I believe that she died sometime between the census and that time. I can find no record of her death.
As you mentioned Skubovius is an unusual name. I found deaths for Skubovius in Winnipeg but can find no connection.
I found a Hannah Skubovius in the 1901 & 1906 census living in Lisgar, Manitoba. I believe this is her, and that Jannie is a derivation of Hannah.
