Bio and Links
Bio Photo After 30 years teaching in the classrooms of Texas public schools I retired at the end of May, 2005. I am fascinated by genealogy, and I spend quite a lot of time doing family research. I am now Director of Nancy Nail Memorial Library in Mart, TX. My husband and I have been married 32 years. I have a wonderful son and two great step-sons, two daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren: 1 grandson and 7 granddaughters.

After my Daddy passed away in 2009, I was elected to serve in his place on the board of directors of the Prairie Hill Cemetery Association, Limestone County, Texas. My husband is the president of the Kirk Cemetery Association, Limestone County, Texas.

Nancy Loyd Speer
Hi! I emailed you a couple of days ago but haven't heard from you. Not trying to rush you or anything; just making sure your email address is still operative. Was wondering how you located Nancy Loyd Speer's grave in the Speer Family cemetery. Wandered around there today looking for it and couldn't find it. Did notice, however, that the dates you have listed for Nancy are exactly those of Mary Speer with a transposed 13/31 death date. That grave I did find but there are pics of it already posted under Mary's memorial. If you can tell me how you came to place that name in that cemetery, maybe I can find something that would tell me where exactly it is. And if in fact they are two different people, I'll search harder. --D.T.

A slight difficulty
Just wanted to let you know, I hope you don't mind, one of your flowers is a burgundy, rotating Christmas like star that blinks with a bright white light. The problem with it is that to see it, I start bed-ridden migraines, instantly. With some people I know it can start a seizure. You might want to consider not using it. Thank you and blessings!

RE: Ridge Park Cemetery
You are very welcome. It was my pleasure doing this. The weather was nice for a change and enjoyed the sunshine and much needed exercise.

I enjoy walking the sections and taking the photos. Will eventually get the entire cemetery done but that is quite a task in this cemetery.

Blessings,
Mary

Spruiell/ HIghland Cemetery
You are very welcome. It was my pleasure doing this. I wish the marker was on a cement base which most in Highland are. It was nearly totally covered with dirt.I had only a paper towel to get it off with. I will take a broom the next time I go out and take a better photo.

Joseph Brewer (1811-1874)
Hi, Patricia! I noticed that you had left flowers for Rosana Jane (Brewer) Lowe and I was wondering if you have any information you would like to share with me about her, and if you know anything about her father, Joseph Brewer. I have not been able to pin down his death date and place, for example, although it is estimated that he died in about 1874, possibly near Cropwell, St. Clair County, Alabama. I believe he was born in 1811 or 1812 in Georgia, probably Jackson County. I also don't know anything much about his wife, such as her maiden name. Do you have any information or photos that you would be willing to share? My email address is desertsand_2@yahoo.com in case you are willing to chat with me a bit about this family. I have done extensive research on Joseph's father, Isaac Brewer, and would love to know of anything you would like to share about him as well. If you're interested in reading a little life story about Rosanna that I wrote a couple years back, here's a link to it: http://www.isaacbrewer-familyhistory.com/stories/rosanna-jane-brewer-1840-1916/ Happy new year! Sincerely, Mary Andersen, 5 greats granddaughter of Isaac Brewer (1763-1852)
