Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my family tree since June of 1992; it's a never ending hobby that's for sure. I'm thankful that my father's parents didn't really throw anything away. It not only helped me have furniture in my house when I first moved out on my own, but I've also managed to gather quite a bit of ancestorial information from the old letters I've found. I am recently married (Feb 4 2006) to a great guy from the state of Arkansas. I tease him, saying that I had to find a husband over 250 miles from my home town so that I wouldn't be marrying a cousin. But as it turns out, I have his last name in my family tree too: Long. We are all related though, through Adam & Eve =)

My maternal grandmother's first cousin, Charles Lee "Charlie" Houser was one of 6 officers killed on January 2, 1932 which was the most officers slain in one event in the USA until "9/11" occurred.

Feel free to leave pictures or flowers on any of my memorials. But whatever you do, DON'T leave RED flowers on my Aunt Margie's memorial! She hated red
roses ;)

If you want to trace my line of Capps, you could start with my dad Bobby Wayne Capps and follow the family links back in time.

My husband's parents: Ray Otis Long and Kathryn DL Small Long

Names I research (just to name a few):
CAPPS, CROWDER, BULLINGTON, COMSTOCK, WOLF, VAN HORN, ATKINS, ACUFF, DAVIS, HOUSER, AUGUSTINE, JOHN, JOHNSON, ALEXANDER, MARRS, CASEY, MOORE, McKELVEY, CROSSLEY, WILSON, SHULL, SMYTH, BOWMAN (OR PATTERSON), BURTRUM, GOSSETT, GIBBONS, MALAN GARNER, BLALOCK, LONG, SMALL, DILLARD, HILL, MOULDER, ELLIS, McKELVEY, LYSTER, NIPPS, HENSON, FARLEY, WYLIE...

Arthur Jones
I know so little. The card just says Arthur is in a different section and lot than Augusts. Her card gave her age. His card photo does not.

RE: Charles Houser relative?
There is a ceremony planned for April 8th at 10am at Forest Park Cemetery in Joplin to lay the headstone. Members of Troop D of the Highway Patrol, Chief Williams of my department and our honor guard will be performing the ceremony.
If any of your family members could attend it would be an honor to have you present. If you could send me a list of who will attend I can forward it to my Chief for the ceremony.
If you could send me your email address so we don't have to send messages on findagrave it would be more convenient.
My personal email would be most convenient for me, it is robschroeder811@aol.com.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Charles Houser relative?
I saw your listing for Charles Houser the victim of the Young Brothers massacre.
Are you related to Charles Houser? I am the historian for the Springfield Police Department and I'm trying to locate a relative. A grave marker is going to be placed at his grave on April 8th at 10am by local law enforcement and we are hoping to find a relative to represent the family.
Please contact me if you can help. My work email is rschroed@springfieldmo.gov or contact me through findagrave.
Thank you, Corporal Rob Schroeder
Springfield Police Department.
