Hi Gayle, I see you have Andrew as your 3rd great Uncle. He is also my 3rd great Uncle. I have quite a bit of Corn information and would be happy to share what I have if you would like it. I am walopic@aol.com. Thanks for managing his memorial. Wanda Corn

Jeremiah Cooper
Memorial 72983719

I am a descendant of Frederick-Jeremiah Cooper with sons William and Jeremiah living in Lacon Marshall Illinois-I am the 2nd g grand daughter of Elizabeth, sister to these boys. Their other sister Cynthis married Erastus McKinney. Both boys enlisted in CW in the 11th with Erastus R McKinney (brother in law to both Jeremiah and Wm Cooper) in the fall of 1861. I have letters written by Erastus that notifies family of Jerry's death. Ancestry.com also show Jeremiah from Lacon Marshall Illinois and died 15 of Feb 1862 at Donelson. I find only 2 Jeremiah Cooper in the Report of Adjutant General of Illinois (1900) The other Jeremiah was from Steuben Marshall and I have CW cards that indicate he was 26 and enlisted at Peoria assigned to Stueben Ill 5 dist 71 sub district. He was attached to the Illinois 8th Infranty from Oct 18 1864 to 1866 no indication that he never was transferred to the Illinois 11th.

I nee help in getting my information correct

RE: Mason Cemetery/Old City Cemetery
People don't like to be told something is wrong. You can understand. I have been dragging my feet. Some receive the info gratfully, but other do not. What can I do.. so many mistakes on the internet...

RE: Mason Cemetery/Old City Cemetery
Old Wedowee City Cemetery is off of Hwy 431 at the edge of town. I think it is 4th or 5th Street. The last person buried there was about 1899. There had been a restortation some some ago. Then they put about three rows of unmarked cement crosses. I have tried the best I could to document readable ones with photos. A couple of ladies documented many of the graves in 2002 or 2009, from USGENWEB.
The Wedowee Masonic Cemetery is active and off of Hwy 48. My girlfriend and I are trying to finish taking picture of all the headstones. Unfortunately the grounds are not kept up and it always means digging out flat stone buried by crabgrass.
Do you live local?
I wish I knew how to put a better description on Findagrave. Do You? Maybe it would help if there was a better description on front page.

I do believe that Harriet Hood is in The Wedowee Masonic Cemetery, not the Old Wedowee Cemetery. The Old Wedowee Cemetery has not been used for 100 years or more.
Often time obits will state that the deceased person was in the Wedowee city Cemetery, confusing them.
As you will see 103020739 has confirmed with a picture, But yours had so much more bio maybe you could just transfer that info over Thanks esther 47393584

Back in 2010 you had request a photo of Mary's marker. Woud you still be interested in having one? I got a lead today; would you like for me to pursue when I can? Chip

Futch Family
Are you descended from Isaac "Boy" Futch (1804-1863) who moved from Georgia to Texas, via Mississippi? My great-great-great-grandmother Delilah "Della" Futch Strickland, who stayed in Georgia, was his sister.

Thanks!
Hi,

Thanks so much for the census info on Mary Eliza Futch. I have made corrections at her grave site. Would you be in a position to add a photo of the Futch Family Cemetery in Tyler County, Texas to Find a Grave?
