I lived and worked in the Dallas area over 35 years and now reside near Lake O The Pines in northeast Texas. I LOVE the older cemeteries in this area and have walked MANY of them, several times. If I can help, let me know.
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF FIND A GRAVE IS A GRAVES REGISTRATION WEBSITE. I will NOT link to "burial unknown" memorials...it is called Find a GRAVE for a reason!
I will share any headstone photos for genealogy purposes.
Please DO NOT put obits or death certificates on memorials I manage! Please send me info for the bio section, do not just add a bio to the "flower" area.
ALL requests for links, bio's or any other information need to go thru the new EDIT button. I will verify any info sent. I may request you send me your sources and remember, "Trees" uploaded to ancestry.com, rootsweb.com and various genealogy websites are NOT sources and are very often wrong! Always verify your information, don't just copy it as true!
If you have your messages disabled...and your email not available,.....DO NOT leave me an edit request. If I cannot contact you to verify sources, your edit will be declined.

|Michael Burk||Samuel Newton Smith|
You are absolutely correct. The birth date for this Samuel Newton Smith, is probably correct.
What is not correct though, is this Samuel Smith is not the son of Bryant Smith and Mary Jane Hanna. My bad for not checking this our earlier.
The Samuel B. Smith was the one that I was looking for. And with a couple of hours worth of work. I found him. From Birth, to death.
It is Samuel B. Smith Find A Grave #44526239
So, I would unlink him to the memorials for Bryant Smith, and Mary Jane Smith 'nee Hanna.
Have a great day!
Michael E. Burk
|Dennis & Linda||RE: Mary Norman|
The Norman family were residents of Washington County before and just after Mary married James Coffman in 1855. Her father died in 1865, her mother in 1887, both were buried in the same row. I have a copy of the cemetery listing from a board member. We will go to Elm Springs Cemetery and take a photo of the headstone, if it is still standing and post it to her memorial. Mary may have been here to see her mother or brother. Thomas lived around Elm Springs with his mother after his father died. Most of this information may be found at Ancestry US Census Records. Other family members also lived in the area. I am researching the Norman family as they relate to the Elm Springs area. - dennis

Yes she had remarried and died here in Mount Pleasant. I live here and she was in the nursing home for a few weeks before she died. She had fallen and broke her neck. Thanks so much and thanks for making her memorial.
|Antoinette||Susan Malinda Green|
Thanks so much for adding the information. I have not been able to find out where her parents were buried.
Would you please add Susan's maiden name, which was Susan Malinda Green. I added her photo and her husband's. His full name was Robert Jenkins Wood. They were g-g-grandparents to my children. Thanks.
