Hollis Smith Westgate
My grandmother was Helen Westgate Lewis, daughter of Hollis Smith Westgate. So grateful to find this info about him on the web. I have a picture of him on the back of which is written "Hollis in medical school, Paris" Any ideas what that is about?

RE: John Westgare Seabury
Thank you! You are so thoughtful! We already have connections to the Mayflower, and just need to get the remainder of the documentation together and send it in...(as you may know, it is a big task...but, in the works right now!...) I am unsure if John Westgage Seabury is the father of Hannah who married Stephen Seabury. We have yet to figure out or confirm the parents of Hannah, but have had hints that she was a Seabury, and perhaps of a cousin of her husband Stephen's (Seabury) Stephen is 1801-1879 and buried in Waukau, Wisconsin.

You are correct, in that information is often copied and/or assumed to be correct if someone else is using it! I have done it as well, though hope to somehow/someday/some way get to the bottom of who Hannah's parents really are!? Possibly John Westgate Seabury, but more research is needed!

Your suggestions are well taken, and who knows!
Good luck in your research, as well! It is a journey!

God Bless, Pat

John Westgare Seabury
Hi, by chance do you know where John Westgate Seabury and his wife Hannah might be buried? John was about 1761-1859 and Hannah Church passed about 1859

John Westgate Seabury

have seen these dates
For his birth 11, of Jan 1761 in Tiverton, Newport Co., RI
Death June 15, 1860 in Clarendon, Rutland, Vermont, USA

Just thought, possibly with the Westgate connection!
Thank you for all of your work!
