I would like to ask if you would take a moment to place a flower at my dad's memorial, Gene H. Barnes (1928-2007) at Wichita Park Cemetery, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas? Many thanks to those who have.

At one time or another, we have all looked at a cemetery and felt that the people buried there are not only long gone, they're also long forgotten. And if it happens to be our relatives or friends it can leave an especially empty feeling. But, Findagrave empowers us to put an end to those concerns. Therefore, I now view cemeteries as a place where people can be remembered and their stories saved and shared rather than lost.

Just one of the many lives that sticks with me is that of Daniel Cason, former slave and Union Civil War soldier who died in Newton, Kansas in 1911 at the age of 67. What incredible obstacles some have been forced to overcome.

Within most people, there is a basic desire to learn the events of their family's history. The fortunate ones get to experience those moments of discovery. As Gordon Lightfoot wrote, "to know the wherefore and the why."

I'm going to be requesting some links over the course of the next few days in the interest of clean up. There's some duplicates because some were originally placed into a cemetery named "Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian" which unfortunately has never existed. I think find-a-grave merged the two. Anyway most of the links are currently pointing to memorials owned by me, which I'll delete once its all cleaned up -- some of your's have been sponsored.

Martha J. Piper
Just want to let you know that there are two memorials for Martha J. Piper, at two different cemeteries, both in Linn County, MO. Yours is the first memorial posted, but I don't know which cemetery Martha is actually buried in. The other listing also has an unnamed infant of hers listed in a separate memorial. Martha's other memorial is Find A Grave Memorial # 132064102

Martha is a relative of mine, but the duplicate memorial is not mine. Thought you might want to contact the holder of the duplicate memorial to figure out where Martha is buried, and to consolidate the memorials.

Myron Claude Kimberly
I know this is an unusual request, but my husband is a 2nd cousin to Myron Claude Kimberly. If you have connections to the Millers (his ex-wife is a Miller) that supplied the photos, please let me know, so we can make connections. I am doing a Kimberly Genealogy Tree.

Thanks,

Vickey Kimberly

Yes, this full name was based on the cemetery record. I hope this is the person you've been looking for.

RE: Daniel Boone Hayden's wife
Hi Larry,
I just noticed your message. If you give more information on my update to Daniel Boone Hayden's grave I would be happy to share my source. I am tracking all the Hayden family who descend from John Hayden of MA (1606-1682).
