|Tammy Dozer||Question on Memorial# 36056769|
I am contacting you about Memorial# 36056769 I have been working on the Fairmount Cemetery in Central City trying to capture a picture of all of the stones there. This memorial you have created on Levi Joseph Johns is not marked as military. When you do the search for military graves. Would you care to edit that so he will not be left out when folks are looking for those graves. I know i had a guys who wanted to visit some graves of guys he had served with. It just helps us pull up that info. I have researched it and a Tech5 in WW2 is equivalent to a Specialist now days. I would appreciate it, but if you don't want to I respect your choice not to change it also. Thank you for your time!
|Julie Mofle||Dutch Surnames Search Project|
You might have noticed that some of the edits you receive are showing an edit for a Dutch surname to delete the spaces in the surname. Find A Grave search treats a space like a spelling variation and it will not bring up the two last names, spelled identically, but varied in spacing. (Vanden Heuvel versus VandenHeuvel require separate searches.) Over the year, I've been asking contributors in the area and especially for the St. John Little Chute cemetery, to go through their Dutch surnames and edit out those spaces, to unify the searches of all users. It's a lot to ask, I know, and I am still working on my own surnames, but I hope you will join in the effort. It will help all researchers find all names in one search and is also the surname form used by the Historical Society.
Hello - Thank you so much on providing the information on Nickolaus Eiden's grave in Calvary Cemetary in St. Cloud. It really gave me a lot of information! Can you tell me where you were able to find the detail for the family links? It was able to get me back several generations, and wanted to know where you found the information. I really hope that it's as accurate as it seems to be. It's all I've had to go on. We have nothing in our family records. Thank you so much for providing that information. I really appreciate it!

On the bottom left of the tombstone, does it show the town in Cork?
