Find A Grave Memorial# 80075977
Hello Rachael:

It appears there is an error the death date on this tombstone for George B Kirkman, Find A Grave Memorial# 80075977. The tombstone states this is the infant child of John W. KIRKMAN (b. 06 Aug 1847 d.18 Aug 1896) and his wife Margaret Catherine BROWER (b. 1840 d. bef. 1964) who are both buried in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery #2, Liberty, Randolph County, North Carolina. Considering the date of the parents do you think the death date should have been 11 Dec 1871 in lieu of 11 Dec 1811? With the age of 8 months 12 days that would make his birthdate 29 Mar 1871. I can not explain why this tombstone for George B Kirkman is in the Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pleasant Garden, Guilford County, North Carolina when his parents and grand parents are buried in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery #2, Liberty, Randolph County, North Carolina. What do you think?

Thank You, Dennis York Find A Grave#47405652,

Hi Rachel,

Those are members of my family in Tabernacle. Same family as those buried in Moriah. Are you a descendant of Eleanor Coe and Rev. McCulloch?

My email is

I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

RE: Hester and Mary Moninger
Hi Rachel,
Just a quick note that I didn't forget you (or your request to take another pass for Hester and Mary in the Lone Pine cemetery near Michael. Unfortunately, by the time I got to town on Friday the snow was already making the roads less than pleasant and a later trip by the road in was under a foot of snow. As soon as I am back there w/ decent weather I'll take another look!

Hester and Mary Moninger
I didn't see them. I did walk the whole cemetery (up and down every row) taking photos of everything there. There were some markers that were completely unreadable despite my struggles to do so. It's very frustrating that there remain so many entries here for the Lone Pine Cemetery that I could not produce a photo.

I am also subject to error. It is possible that there could have been writing on the other side of this stone or another that I missed, despite attempts to catch everything. As you can tell the marker for John Michael is right along the main road in. It would be easy enough for me to relocate the next time I am in that area (weather permitting) to take another peek around him.

RE: Carroll
I haven't had any luck. I'm out of town for the week, but thought of one more thing I can try. If it's not posted by next Friday, 1/8/2016 that means I was unsuccessful.
