I thought I'd let you know I posted pictures of the gravestones of Abraham and Gemima Wilson. Janet (Van Hoosier) Stricklin took the pictures a few years ago.

Well, I am also related to him, thru Dudley's brother Welcome. I could send you information.
Are you related to Dudley Stephens?

I came across a record indicating Moses Edwards (Abt 1762-1847) was buried at the Edwards Family Cemetery and Mary (Tweedle) Edwards (1780-1864)died at Short Creek, Grayson County, KY, where the cemetery is located. Any possibility that they are there?
|Louise Taraba||RE: Shepherd inquiry|
Julie, thanks for your prompt reply to my question concerning the middle name of John Shepherd, Sr.
I am aware of the proper use of "Sr." and "Jr." and also know that quite often there is misuse of the suffixes. However, I have yet to find in any document that the father John or son John was ever given or used the middle name of James. I actually did not see anything in John Jr's memorial that explained my concern. John Sr. had around 10 or 11 children, and one being a James which little seemed to be known about. I suspect that somewhere along the line someone may have decided he was same as John Jr, or something. Hard to tell when the James began to appear as a middle name for John Jr. and as a result one has no idea when or why this got started in trees. Again, this may be one of the many times there is suffix misuse.
Thanks for hearing me out. Louise

Hi Julie...are you familiar with the EFA? If not, let me know and I can give you more information. They meet once a year in Virginia and have been doing so since the 1930's.

|SR0220||RE: barr transfers - thank you SR0220|
Julie, It is my pleasure! Good to know that the memorials are in good hands! Sorry about the delay, as I didn't know about one of them, Sarah Harriet Vessels Barr. I cannot find that she is a direct relative, but I have so little information on my Vessels genealogy. Take care! SR

Going through 2011 e-mails you asked for one (Charles, maybe) but do you want to pick which ones? Not related to the Barrs, that I am aware of and have 26 more of them.

|Joyce Rodger||Thank you.|
I have been trying to trace the Nicholson family in my husband's lineage. I just happened on the info that Gideon Nicholson died with Capt. Turner. In following this I found your information on the Find a Grave memorial for Burdett Eskridge. I knew nothing of this battle or the mass grave in Cloud Creek and was pleased to learn about it. Thank you for making your family history available for others to learn about their own.
