Day family in Oakwood
I could not find markers for most of the Day family in Oakwood (sect 6). I have added a photo of the family plot; Mary Ann Day is at the top center and John and Ann Day are at the bottom of the photo.

Hi Ann, I figured that her maiden name was McGinley because it says so on her son Owen's and her daughter Grace's death certs. They are also in St. Michaels. You can never be sure because there are so many mistakes in these records, but McGinley is looking pretty good. Rosemary

Hi Ann,
I found her death cert and posted it. The records for St. Michael's were lost and the cemetery is in disarray. Most folks didn't have stones. We have a Facebook page, 'Friends of St. Michael's Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA' as a central point for info. Haven't seen anything about Catherine. Do you know from where in Ireland the family originated? Best wishes, Rosemary

Sorry about the wrong photo. I removed it, I can not find his name in the National Grave Finder. Do you have his Location? (section and site number)?

Arthur & Clara Scott
Good news, I found Arthur & Clara Scott buried in Grandlawn Cemetery. So you can create memorials for both of them & request photos. I will work on fulfilling requests when the snow melts.

Grandlawn did not question the DOD dates, so I assume they are correct. Arthur Scott Sec W Lot 4 Grave 1. Clara Scott was cremated. Grandlawn exact wording was that she "is on top of Arthur". Her location is also Sec W Lot 4 Grave 1.

You can call Grandlawn directly if you have any other questions

I will check Grandlawn Cemetery to see if Arthur & Clara Scott are buried there. If they are at Grandlawn I will advise.

Samuel Camp
Ah-ha! Mystery solved. Sam was in my third batch of pictures. I created the spreadsheet and uploaded, but I never got around to uploading the pictures. The cemetery is/was known as the Union (Smith Hill) Cemetery. If you click on the Union Cemetery link, it shows a picture of the plaque.

Anne - the notice I received doesn't tell me the name of the gentleman you are talking about nor did it provide a link. I believe most, if not all, of my postings are from gravestones I found in specific cemeteries unless they are my direct family. Whom are you talking about? //Betsy Barber

I will compromise and add a note to his memorial about his father's bio. I'm not certain but I think it is a bio rather than an obituary, written by Morton Montgomery who made many errors.
My grandfather and his five brothers all have a m.i. B on their tombstones, for their mother's last name. But in fact each was baptized with a proper middle name. Only I know that because of intense research. If someone else as yourself had made their memorial they would be misleading the facts. I'm sure you want your family to be represented as accurately as they can also. I might also not be named Homan but you should not assume I am not related. Today I added over 20 Homan names to findagrave as well as over 50 edit requests, and I'm only halfway through.

I only include the full mother's maiden name as a middle name if it appears in a birth, death, tombstone,or the individual's obituary. I also consider adding if many of his local records include the mother's name. Unless baptized with the mother's name it should not be used at all but I am flexible in the situations mentioned.
