I started doing genealogy about 20 years ago and have been passionate about it ever since. My other interests include my family, Argentine tango, and travel.|
I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. Lately I've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online.
Please note that I adhere to Findagrave policy, whether or not you may agree with it:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
If a listing or contribution corresponds with only the primary purpose, it has fulfilled its part of Find A Grave's mission and is not required to correspond with the secondary and tertiary purposes. Fulfilling the other two is welcomed, encouraged and deeply appreciated, but as far as Find A Grave's purpose goes, a memorial page isn't lacking if it does not.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. These guidelines are in place for a reason - whether one cares to accept them or not. I am not going to debate what the owner has deemed acceptable for his site with members who choose not to agree with the guidelines. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer. Please send me your 8-digit findagrave ID# (at the top of your contributor page) or use the "Edit" function.
Due to the recent increase in abuses of transfer requests, I may not transfer to you if the number of memorials that you manage is significantly greater than the number that you have contributed. Also, I hesitate to transfer memorials to those who do sloppy work, so emails laden with misspellings or other inaccuracies generally are ignored.
On the other hand, I will always transfer if a memorial is sponsored. And if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors. I am only human and make mistakes, too.
Note: Please do not send corrections by posting to my profile. I change these last of all because they frequently lack enough data to change easily. Complaining about my response time will bump you to the very bottom of the list... I work full time and am doing the best I can! Thanks.

Do you have access to the plots for the Brownsville Cemetery?
I don't know if you live close by. A lot of research is being done on the Thompsons by Ada Ruth Whitemore in Bickleton, WA. She is famous for her research work. She is in her mid 80's so I am helping her out.
Do you know if the majority of the headstones not photographed is because there are none, or just not photographed yet?

Happy to take the photos for you.
|Jason Walker||Dorothea Harrison|
Hi, you sent me info on Dorothea Harrison, you said that her middle name was Irene and maiden name was Smith. I have that her name is Dorothea Mildred (Baldwin) Harrison. Perhaps you could help me clarify my information, or perhaps you have the wrong person. Please let me know. She is the wife of my great uncle Harry Harrison. Thanks.

After I pressed the Leave This Message button, I realized you may not be a 'sir', therefore, I amend my opening greeting to: "A nod to you." Take care, Mike

you're welcome are you a relation, Donald was military. He is entitled to a military stone. I think the family has to order it if not done so.

|Mike||your recent edits to McElfresh, Mitchell and Chase memorials|
I really appreciate your help in updating and linking these people to their family members, especially for including the bio for poor Nora and the parental links for baby Joe. Very emotional, that one. Thanks for your memorials to them and your care. -Mike
