RE: Mehitable Snow
I found Philadelphia Earle Penniman's grave on this site. The reason we couldn't find her before is that the cemetery has her first name as Philadelphi (with no a at the the end). And that is the way the FindAGrave contributor listed her too.

The cemetery is closed and was being renovated in 2010. If Paul is there, he's not on the list of graves there. http://www.nnygenealogy.com/pages/cemetery/burialdetail.php?page=1&burialid=87164&name=penniman

I have contacted both sites to correct her name.

RE: Mehitable Penniman
Thanks, Kay. Do you by any chance know where Luther Gilson is buried? I cannot link her to him unless he's listed on FindAGrave, and I cannot find him or her parents there. I will add them if you can tell me where they're buried.

Kay:
I was wondering if you happen to know just where she is buried? Would like to add date and location (obit) if you do have any of these?
Thanks. Dianna
BTW--Getting back to doing some fixing, so if you see something needed, please let me know

RE: Blystone
also the roots web.com and ancestry aren't always correct. I've found many differences with the paper work I have copied from historical societies and what is on the sites. That's why I site my sources and add them to the info.

sincerely

RE: Blystone
Hi Kay

this is John Blystone 49869103, he's my great great grand father. the Julia name popped up but no one has any documentation to show for sure and it can't be found either. so that's a brick wall many of us, at least me, :) is still searching for. I'm hoping to find an old church baptism record for John stating his parents, etc. I left George on as his father but I'm not sure if he's the right George.

They are quite a confusing bunch to try to decipher that's for sure.

Julia Justine
Hi Kay,
I just wanted to let you know I removed Julia from George's/John's page. I'd like to know where you got your source about her? She isn't actually documented anywhere. My cousin has done extensive research and even has three volumes, updated, and won't put her in because he also got her name but the source isn't sited.

Regards,
Ruthi

RE: Ephraim Rockwell
Sorry about that, I got Ephraim Sr confused with his nephew Ephraim S. I really appreciate all your work. Ancestry.com and Find A Grave have been a great help to me in correcting mistakes in my genealogy. I am a descendent of Isaac Rockwell 1742-1802, so that makes us about 8th cousins.

I suggest that you try to limit your content to facts that are highly accurate. Ancestry trees often have errors. Some of your content conflicts with the 1873 book by the well known Henry Stiles History of Ancient Windsor for example. It also has many errors. It taks much work and effort to make the judgement on the credibility of the source. I try to have more than one indpendent source especially when questions arise. I hope this helps you. I have been reseaching my Rockwell ancestors since the late 1980's and have recently found many errors from what I thought were very credible sources. In genealogy you can never know the facts with certainty but I believe that primary sources are the best way to resolve differences.
