I got hook on genealogy after talking to my Grandfather (George E. Deskins) about the "Good Old Days" and how he had a story about everyone and everything. I started by researching only my immediate family but it has escalated to years of research, meeting wonderful people, hearing amazing stories and with much help from other dedicated researchers. After joining FAG it keeps getting better and better.
I hope that all of realize that we all are related and should treat everyone the way we want to be treated.
My main research is on all the Deskin, Deskins and Deskines lines, but I also do Jackson and Matney
This wonderful tool of FAG is out of this world, I want to thank all the fabulous people that have help me in so many ways. I would not of had the opportunity to meet many of my relatives, as well as others if not for FAG. There is no way I can ever thank many of you, researcher before me, people willing to share info as well as photos and their lives.
I would also like to make a point, this is not a genealogical site, but it gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect our relatives, showing really how small our world is, so I hope that some that feel they don't want to transfer for whatever reason and this is your right, perhaps think that MOST of us, do not do it for numbers but because we appreciate the honor of caring for our relatives like I do. When I hear about my relatives even thou I have never met them, it's like knowing them. Hope this makes sense.

Hei Sue, Edith Deskins was my grandmother although due to a divorce in our family I don't recall ever meeting her. I'm sure I did as a small boy, but that memory has not stayed with me. I'm researching essentially her husband, Rufus Mills, but am always interested in info concerning Edith. I am in contact with several of her other grandchildren, all of whom knew Edith very well and are willing to share info, whenever I ask about her. How are your related to Edith? Is there any website which is available with info/pictures about Edith? Norm Mills

Faresta Dale Swigart Wardrip- PS
I forgot to mention something. There are two other people in the same Lot as the Wardrip's. I suppose they are not related in anyway but thought I would run it by you just in case.
They are in Lot 1054, William in grave 2 and Faresta in grave 3.
There is a Helen Rademacher 1882-1958 in grave 1, and a Lydia Kammerer 1899-1987 in grave 4.

RE: Nathaniel Taylor
We are not related as far as I know, but I grew up knowing John E. Taylor and a number of his descendants. When I was writing my book Lower Brushy Revisited, Brushy people collected all the pictures they could find (about a thousand) of people who had ever lived on Lower Brushy. When I learned about, I started putting on as many of those pictures as I could so others could see some they might never have seen.
