RE: Foster Lewers
His wife Sarah is buried in East Springfield Cemetery, Ohio WITH Foster being buried with her. They are buried together in the same plot. I have seen several sources listing him as being buried in that cemetery, NOT in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Its obvious he is in BOTH cemeteries. But he seems to be buried with his wife Sarah in Ohio, and the memorial/gravestone in Tennessee is just a cenotaph. So both would be correct then and he does have two memorials.

RE: Foster Lewers
I dont get how he can be burried in two different cemeteries in two dofferent states.

According to Jefferson County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society and Civil War Grave Registration Cards, he is buried in East Springfield M.E. Cemetery in Jefferson County, Ohio, Section A, Row 7.

Mission Ridge Cemetery
I found a Tennessee Death Certificate for Marvill Green on Ancestry. It states that he was buried in Mission Ridge Cemetery, but there is none in Findagrave. Is this part of Chattanooga National Cemetery?

Thank you for correcting the death information and the addition of the map. Quite a history lesson, which is appreciated.

Henry Clay Cockayne
Hi Janet. Henry Clay Cockayne died in battle at Allatoona. According to the records, his body was placed in a trench with 26 other soldiers at Allatoona. Do you know if his gravestone at Marietta (memorial # 38928990) is a cenotaph or did they relocate remains from Allatoona to Marietta? Thanks for any information you might have. Jane Cockayne Weaver

All that I can tell you is that the work I did on memorials in the Burkes Cemetery, Wyandot County, Ohio was done from on line records. I had found in those records a relative in that cemetery for which I did a memorial. Since I had time I went on to do most of the memorials. I have never been to that cemetery so I can not speak to the accuracy.
I would like to be able to turn all the records of that cemetery over to someone who could more adequately care for them.
