Hello, Jerry, I see you have Mary on f.a.g. appreciated as can help other searchers. Any ideas what became of the daughter Martha. I am thinking hard to find as may have got married. Again, Thank You!
|Bronwyn||Two Fort McDowell Listings on Find A Grave|
The George Kippeu you have listed in the Fort McDowell you have created is George Kippen. He was a civillian who died as working as a suttler at Fort McDowell. He was not military and was not moved in the transfer. This is actually his third find a grave memorial.
He had a cenotaph back in Connecticut in the Fairfield East Cemetery, and a burial in Fort McDowell.

Jerry, On the pension papers, do you think they would have information on the whereabouts of his wife Mary and daughter Matilda? On the one you posted I did find them in the census of 1870, but after that I can not find them. Between the name Smith and then Mary and Martha plus they probably have married its a hard find. So, I don't know if a widow re married would still get a pension? also if the pension to his daughter would stop at maturity? I would be interested in the pension papers if you think it would locate Mary and or Martha. I will have some notes on where they were married and so on, do you want to keep Isaiah or forward to me, can do either way, although would have to send info to you to post.
Thxs Steve N.

Jerry, One more favor can you put in born date as 1835 - 1836 Ohio, this was from a Federal census of 1850 and will help me keep everyone in chronological order.
