Thank you for writing back to me.
I am also related to Elinor Fruit who married John Pugh, (also a son of Thomas and brother to James and Mary Pugh) John & Elinor Fruit Pugh were my 5th Great Grandparents on my Mother's side. Also.... Captain Benjamin Merrill, who seems to have gotten the ball rolling with the Regulators in North Carolina, was my 6th Great Grandfather on my Dad's side. Like I said, I am still researching. When I ran across your research, it sure threw a monkey wrench into my ancestry. I need to look back through my Gr Gr Grandmother's papers again. It has been a while since I read her letters. I plan on making a trip to North Carolina next spring, I have research to do on both sides of my family and I want to take some photos. Once again, thanks for writing to me. And thank you also for the references and the Links.

|Mandy ||Thomas & James Pugh|
I want to thank you for posting your information on my 6th Gr Grandfather Thomas Pugh. I noticed that you list Mary, who married Hermon/Harmon Husband, as one of Thomas and Elizabeth's children. Throughout my entire lifetime I have heard the story of my 5th Great Grand Uncle James Pugh who was hung in 1771 in North Carolina. I notice that you state that this James is not the son of Thomas & Elizabeth. In the book "Some Neglected History of North Carolina" written by William Edward Fitch, he states that James Pugh was the brother in law of Henry/Harmon Husband who married James's sister Mary Pugh. This book is on line for anyone that wants to read it. Also in numerous family histories that I have researched on Benjamin Merrill, also my 6th Great Grandfather, research shows that he was married to Mary Pugh, daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth Pugh and brother of James Pugh. I am still in the process of going through the Quaker records but everything that I find leads me to the conclusion that the oral history handed down through my family is confirmed by these records. I don't mean to be disagreeable nor disrespectful, I just want to find the truth of my ancestry. Thank you again for your post on Find a Grave. Mandy

Hi, I spoke with the director at Calvary Cemetery. Catherine's grave is listed as unmarked. I took photo's of the family plot and the area where she's buried. I'm sorry there wasn't a stone to photograph.

I apologize, I see where you got that.

#119474242 is linked to Thomas Davenport but his parents are given as George Cox. Is there a reason for this?
