Working on the family genealogy and tracing my roots. Currently working on revising the Hendershot Genealogy Book trying to make the info current. I grew up in Hunterdon County, New Jersey where my family had originally settled but they had also spread out to Warren, Morris and Sussex Counties in New Jersey.|
I've been adding others as I walk through cemeteries in hopes that it may help others find family members and trace their roots.

you are probably right, but I found the listing on the Fulton Newspaper site, -the Brooklyn Eagle so I assumed it was referring to the Greenwood cemetery in New York. I think I will move him to that cemetery - thanks -- have a wonderful New Year.

I just found your name in connection to Michael Hendershot grave #35830062. You mention in your bio that you are researching the Hendershot family.
If you go to "findagrave" #82163405 you will find Michael Hendershot's grandson Christopher Hendershot 1734-1812. He is my 5th Great Grandfather. You will be able to link to other members of his family in Canada.

Hello Robert, In order to explain, this might be long. I have over time been trying to track my ancetors.. I originally started with Dodd, this being my grandfather. I found out that my grandmother (Nancy Elizabeth Cron) had been previously married to an "Ike Hendershot". I also found out that they raised 2 children. A Raymond and a "Rosie". Rose, Rosie, Rosa .... was suppose to have died at the age of 2 from pneumonia and buried in Baleville. Raymond was about 38 when he passed on a father's day, I understand from a massive heart attack. I really don't have any further information. Can you verify any of these? My mother often spoke of her brother Ray ( I now find out they were half siblings)and my sister of Uncle Ray. He was dead before I was born. There are 16 years between myself and my sister. Amazing how our trees branch when you start digging!!!

Hello! There was a photo request for Lester K. Hendershot at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Montclair. I took the picture and added it to the Fing-A-Grave site. Right next to Lester's grave was Calla's grave so I took a picture and added it to this memorial. I am sorry about the condition of Lester's marker but I didn't have equipment with me to remove the earth and foliage that covers it.

|Marilyn Say-Murray||Thank You!|
Thank you, Robert, for all your hard work! My grandmother was a Adeline Hendershot, daughter of James A. (1866-1926), who was son of James S. (1836-1925), son of Peter (1795-). Our paths cross often. I appreciate your accuracy and diligence. Marilyn Say-Murray

I am searching for all Benward relatives. Charles E. Benward is my grandfather. Thank you so much for putting the headstones on the internet! I was so supposed to see them. I remember as a child going to Asbury Cemetery visiting my relatives....I live in TX now, so I don't have the chance to go there anymore.....Thank you for all your work....

I have updated Fannie Elizabeth's stone. I noticed I made an error when transcribing. Her middle initial was E. for Elizabeth - not L. I fixed it. Thx, Mindy
