Bio and Links
Bio Photo Our findagrave activity stemmed from my love of genealogy, photography and old gravestones, strengthened when we saw the damage one year of weather does to an older stone that cannot stand the test of time well. We believe everyone deserves to be remembered, beyond plain, cold statistics, and document as much as we are able, especially as we travel. This is a wondrous site where the upcoming generations can easily find their history and ancestors. Even after we are gone, our work will remain. Thank you, Findagrave.

We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. I am eager to transfer anyone who is not family to family. People with kind, sincere words make my day.

I take my heritage, 'graving' and documentation very seriously and most respectfully. Accuracy is of the most utmost importance to me, not who 'owns' a memorial. If I have made an error, please, please, let me know, politely. Cooperation is the entire point of this site. I now understand why people leave Findagrave.

I spend over half my time on Findagrave JUST sending edits to admin for duplicates, not documenting cemeteries any more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE double check before you add a historical person from the 1600's or back. Nine times out of ten, they have already been added. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.'

Do not use my photos without permission, and ask BEFORE you use them. Simple, reasonable.

USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION ON THE MEMORIAL you want updated for updates requests, transfer requests, general inquiries ANY memorial. I will IGNORE AND DELETE suggestions, requests and updates and inquiries left HERE or in EMAIL, as they are REPEATEDLY, DESPITE THIS stupidly bold NOTICE.

Hi Ann,
I do not want the memorials returned. I keep a copy in a virtual cemetery, so I really do not loose them

Thank you.

Audrey

Hi Ann,
I have discovered a problem with my Memorial for Margaret De Stafford de Neville # 84257378. I have found some added information that I must have overlooked previously, and it needed to be fixed.

Margaret Stafford died 9 June 1396, and was buried at Brancepeth, Durham...From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia..

I found St Brandon's Church, Brancepeth in County Durham, and did a memorial for her # 134553095.

Now I can't remember what I am supposed to do. I am going to transfer them to you, in the hope that you will finish up what has to be added.

I am sure glad that I have you to transfer to. It has been fun working with you.
Audrey

RE: Maria Gomez
My daughter-in-laws family. The name is Mary Gomes - not Marie Gomez. Thanks

RE: Thomas Greene and Boughton
Thanks for keeping me updated.

Since Henry de Greene had advowson (http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=66320) of the old church, it seems more likely that he was buried in "his" church.

I think I will use "his" church (http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2407446) as the one, for now, at least.

Anne, I thank you so much for the transfer of my ancestors' memorials...your graciousness in doing so is a delight 😄. I've noted your kindness on both of them. Again, I'm in awe of your diligence for Find-A-Grave, and I know there are many of us who are so happy for all of your efforts!

Yes but the relationship is more that what Find a Grave says to ask for transfers.

RE: Shurtleff
I am surprised you haven't been on it as the northern end (name changes to... Terrace Ave?) nearly dumps you right into Tulocay cemetery. It is actually a rather nice road. Once upon a time ago it was more of a rural road, but it still has some rural qualities. You could say it is in the transition zone. , I think you would like it; catch it off of the eastern stretch of Imola Avenue and follow it until it ends at Tulocay. (If you haven't been there, Tulocay cemetery is quite lovely too and contains at least one Shurtleff crypt too.)

Shurtleff
I happened to run across your profile and saw one of the surnames you list is Shurtleff. Just thought I would mention that coincidentally I grew up on Shurtleff Avenue in Napa. Best of luck with your genealogy research and grave sleuthing.
