I am documenting burials in the following cemeteries in Hancock County, Ill.: Fountain Green, Hadley, St. Simon (a.k.a. Lincoln or Lincoln Catholic), Majorville, Roberts, Webster, Willis, Wright, Yetter. Also Friendship and Hills Grove in McDonough County, Ill. Links to these cemeteries are located on my homepage.|
I implore Find A Grave members to seek out tombstones which have not been documented. We all have family trees in which there are persons for whom we have no evidence of when or where they died and were buried.
Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines outlined in the "Help with Find A Grave", linked at left, particularly those under the Working With Photos heading:
--Can I add a photo that I found on a different website?
--Someone posted my copyrighted photos! How can I get them removed or get them properly credited?
--I found a photo of a relative on Find A Grave, can I use it?
The above questions and answers are in agreement with standards approved by the National Genealogical Society
Unless otherwise stated by the contributor, no tombstone photographs taken after 1989 are in public domain. If you are creating your own family tree on another website, please respect the copyright of the contributor.
Above all, remember that "We want Find A Grave to remain a place of respect and remembrance, just like a real cemetery."

How are you doing? I finished both eye surgeries - yes, only one was planned, but I ended up doing both - theoretically, that's all.
Ruby M. Collins, 97, of LaHarpe, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 1993 at LaHarpe, IL. Born Dec. 10, 1896 in Blandinsville to Francis and Flora Elesta Maharry Gilmore, she married Archie Collins on Feb. 23, 1917. He died April 21, 1963. Two sons, Albert and Henry, three daughters Wenona Bugerosky, Virgie Bundy, and Mary Jane Collins; two sisters, six brothers, six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
I found some old CD's in the garage that are full of obituaries - from 2001 to 2008 - yikes!
Here's another one for you to research, if you want to - Clarence A. "Dewey" Blandin, 87, of 8305 S. Rothlisberger, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 1993, at Hallmark House in Pekin. Born June 2, 1906 in Harkers Corner to George and Kate Polson Blandin, he married Pearl Rothlisberger on Sept. 18, 1934 in Kankakee. One son, Gerald of Bartonville, one daughter, Carole Blandin of Mapleton; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren, one sister, Ora Vernice Bridgeman.
I can't find any of them! Doctor's appointment tomorrow - I probably shouldn't be playing on the computer.

It has been so long since I submitted the edit, I don't know what it was and I got a reply that it conflicts with your information. Can you tell me what it is that conflicts with your info, please.
William is the brother to my great great grandfather and his grandson visited me years ago and gave me info, plus I went to McDonough County and did the research needed. Thanks, Michal Scott

Thank you for contacting me regarding Isabella Yard. She was my G Grandmother's sister. In their Father, Job Yard's Civil War pension records, she is listed as Isabella.
|Dave & Kristi Bruner||Harold Hartley/Anna Belle Hartley Newnham|
Hello - thank you for the edit listing Anna Belle as Harold's mother. I see you also placed a flower on her page. Just checking to see if you may have more info. My husband descends from Anna's brother but it is a line we know little about. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Thank you for all your contributions. My cousin and my neighbor both died this week - yikes. I went to my sister's house to fix my new healthcare and there were 9 firetrucks in front of her house - a neighbor's house was burning and my brother in law had to come out to get me. Merry Christmas, despite all this - and happy new year.
