Thank you so much for taking the time to post this for me. I have just requested a photo of her two other siblings, also on that stone. I am hoping you will take the great photo of Alice you took and post it to their memorials also. Happy graving!

Alas, thanks anyway for looking!! Now duly noted on memorial so others won't similarly request a photo for a stone no longer there.

George Rouse Headstone
Thank you so much -- a belated Christmas present to me. The headstone photo you took is wonderful. He is my 7th great grandfather.

I don't know if you could read his age better in person, but I am guessing 72 -- what did you see.

Headstone instruction: [Angel Face symbol] "In Memory of / Mr. GEORGE / ROUSE died / October 15th 1775 / in the 7*** Year of / his Age / J. B."
[72nd / 71st? - hard to read].

I hope you have a wonderful New Year and thank you for fulfilling my request.

Yours truly,
Julie

Wait... did you all use a spot-light for that? It looks like the sun is behind the stone, when I'm looking at the wooden gate in the back ground.

I would love to know how the photo was taken, so we can use the same technique for other, harder to read, stones.

Thank you!!
Mary

Absolutely beautiful stone!

Thank you for sharing that photo - it was taken at the right time of day, to show off all the engravings!
