Bio and Links
Bio Photo When my father died in 1967, I realized I might be the oldest living male "Panhorst" in our family. This started my forty year investigation of our family genealogy. My primary database now contains 10,500 individuals, all related to our extended family, including brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and cousins for generations in both directions. Most of the data has documentation with sources duly noted. See my db on Roots WorldConnect titled "panhorst". You are welcome to contact me about any of my entries for documentation or sources.
In the last few years Find-A-Grave has taken hold. I have found Find-A-Grave and it's contributors to be a very helpful and beneficial resource. So I am only to happy to assist others. John Panhorst, Prosperity, SC

family history
I remember a number of years ago, you shared your family history with me. I forget how, but we're related. My 4th ggrandparents were Robert and Mary Bane GIFFEN. Hopefully, I have all the names from the Giffen book (and more)in my ancestry.com tree.

I have one additional database, to check for Robert's death location. I'll try to get it done this evening.

I spent all week at the Upper Wegee Cemetery taking photos. I did it all with my iPhone. I sure had fun.

Rachel Busby
Hello,

I have Rachel Busby as the daughter of Needham Busby, not Jacob Busby.

Do you have supporting documentation that Rachel Busby is the daughter of Jacob?

Are you related to the Busby Family?

I am always looking to compare notes with cousins.

Cemetery Updates
Instead of sending to me, you could also send to Find A Grave using this forum:

http://www.findagraveforums.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1346405

I'm hoping that by making these cemetery locations more visible, more people will go to them.

Thanks, again.

Long Family Cemetery, Little Mountain
Hi, I saw that you claimed some photo requests for this cemetery. It doesn't currently have an address or GPS listed. If you are able to obtain either, please let me know. I've been working on getting this info added to Find A Grave.

To capture GPS, I use the smart phone app Where Am I At?

Thanks! (And thanks for being a photo volunteer.)
