I have been doing genealogy research for over 20 years. I started the hard way, back before the internet. It's so much easier now :) Since I have done so much research on my own line, I now enjoy helping other people with researching their own families and this website is a great tool. I enjoy not only listing memorials but linking people to their family members.|
If you want a parent or grandparent transferred to you (or a sibling) let me know. Regarding Findagraves guidelines for transfers related to direct relatives:
You might ask- What if a member will not transfer my relative to me?
If the memorial in question is a direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents) to you and the original submitter is not direct family, then your wishes supersede theirs under our "Family First" policy. If they refuse to transfer your relative to you, contact the administration and we will work on it for you.
Please remember that there are thousands of contributors to Find A Grave, and it is highly likely that some of those contributors will actually be part of your family tree and share some of your ancestors.
Also, the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it

Thank you SO MUCH for the transfer of the memorial you created for Grace Ellen (Thomas) Stubbs. I have updated the bio portion of her memorial, and want to share with you that the management of it means so much to me! Thank you again! Best regards - Leah Stubbs
|VolkerG||photo contribution: ROBERT WILLIAMSON (1926 - 1996)|
Hi, J. Oliver, your photo contribution 1/21/2012 to the entry ...
ROBERT "BOBBY" WILLIAMSON, Jr
ROBERT WILLIAMSON (1926 - 1996)
Birth: May 16, 1926
Death: Aug. 6, 1996
..., the gravestone states Death "Oct. 6, 1996" slightly not matching the entry. I wonder the findagrave entry might not be correct? I'm not "into graves" whatsoever just came here to that entry by

I am new at geneology and was curious how you went about finding the name and info on this person when the marker is just a last name.
I have been searching for my great grandfather with very little effectiveness. He was LOIS ALONZO RAMSEY.

I am sad to say that I do not know any of the Amos family here in Decatur, Alabama. I sure hope he can find his family.

Hello Mr. Oliver,
YES! TECUMSEH is my husbands great-grandfather.
His son William married Lula Sanders. They had three children Lillian (my husbands mother), Cecil, and Doris (she passed as a infant).
Lula and William divorced, Lula came to Indiana.
She wanted to bring her children, but Mr. Tecumseh
would not let her. So they lived with him and his youngest daughter Mary. Also, Tecumseh's son, I think Thomas, had a son Brentley (middle name), at the moment I cannot remember his first name. Anyway, Thomas' wife had passed when Brentley was very young, so I guess he was left in the care of Tecumseh and Mary. I vaguely remember Lillian saying that Brentley, who was younger and Lillian and Cecil, was treated much better than her and her brother. I guess because of their mother Lula divorcing William. Those are the only children I know of living with Tecumseh and Mary.
My husband would be glad to talk with your friend Robert. My husband, Randy, can share stories about Lillian and Cecil, but we never heard about Robert! Very interesting!! I wonder who his parents were. Tecumseh did have about five children I believe.
What city of town and state does Robert live in?
You can email me back at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I try to check my email daily. I hope Robert and Randy can get together! This is great news! I cannot wait to tell Randy, and his sister Linda, she lives in Florida.
Thank you so much for contacting us. I'm so excited I could jump right out of my skin!
Have a wonderful Evening. I'll be looking forward
to hearing from you! :)
