I believe that people should be remembered in death as they were in life and that no grave should be forgotten or abandoned if its possible for someone still here to help keep that persons' memory alive for today and for future generations.. |
This is an exceptional site that helps lead people to their roots. It is an honor for me to share the information that I can find in hopes that someday it will matter to someone else.
If I add one of your relatives and you would like to claim them, please let me know. If you have additional information on someone I have added and would like it to be added to their page I would be happy to do so. If you find an error in any of the graves I list please tell me so I can correct it.
Remember to thank our Military for your Freedom; whether they be Past or Present, we are the Land of the Free because of them.
Your stories touch my heart,your families are in my prayers, and may you all hear the laughter of your loved ones in your dreams.......

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give you your first and last name for the captions?
|Janet McBride||Fanney Covault/Covalt|
I don't know if I ever responded to you on this. Yes Fanney/Fanny is the mother in this family.
My Find A Grave # is 48064622 for the transfer.
|Janet McBride||RE: Covault Memorials|
Yes, I believe Fanny Covault is her mother.
Thank you for all your work. It has been awhile since I made this request and I am sorry that I did not respond to you. Things in my family have been pretty messy and I have set my search aside to deal with this.
It will help me if you could list the Find A Grave numbers for me and then I will know who all you are transferring to me.
Thanks for your dedication!

Thanks for adding the info to the Find A Grave site of Simon Peter Gregory. He was a distant cousin of my husband, William W. Black, through the Grimes line

I would love to take over the Covualt, Hicks, Bronson, and any connecting memorials that belong to my family.
Thanks for your hard work on these memorials.

Thank you for your work at Find A Grave. I have come to really appreciate all that you volunteers do for those of us who don't know our ancestors. Your memorials sometimes bring to light what nothing else does, so thanks for what you do!
My Covault family members are not currently connected because some of the stones are not legible and also because the parents names are not spelled out. I know who they are but there is no way you would know unless you were to research them (too much work besides what you are already doing), so I sent a message to Bonita as one of the memorials is hers. I asked her if we could get all of the children's memorials on the parents memorials (and then i realized I could not find their mother's memorial at the Hartford City Cemetery. I will have to locate hers later, but if you two would be willing to work together to get the following children put on their father's memorial which is # 27135869 and his name is Jacob Covault. Their mother is Fanny (Hess) Covault and their stones all say son/dau of J & F Covault or something to that effect. The children are:
Sarepta Covault(stone looks like and memorial says Babepta, but Sarepta is correct) # 27135544
Fanney Covault #27135128
Elizabeth Covault #27134957
Jesse B Covault #27135045
Rebecca Covault #27135001
Thanks for whatever you can do!
