I've been working on my family history off and on for about 30 years. Now that I am retired I spend much more time researching. Most of the time it is slow going since there seem to be many "mysteries" in my family, especially on my maternal side! I love visiting cemeteries to take pictures of gravesites for others, especially when I hit a roadblock in my own research. It gives me a lot of satisfaction knowing that I am helping others in their searches, and find most cemeteries are serene and beautiful. I also try to take "extra" photos when I'm out and add Memorials in case someone might be searching for them. When I add a Memorial I do a brief search of local obituaries and census records to add what information is available. If anyone would like me to correct, delete or transfer ownership of a Memorial I've added, please let me know. All is done with great respect.
June 1, 2012....I think it is time to update my profile...I have not been able to go out and help take photos the last couple of years. We moved from Indiana to Michigan then to Hawaii. While in Hawaii, my husband became disabled and I have become his caretaker. We have just recently moved back to Florida to be near family and friends. We are settling in and putting things back in order. I am hoping to be able to go out and take more photos soon. I am now trying to go through a backlog of requests for information and transfers. Please forgive me for taking so long to attend to these. I apologize. I know how important family information is to all of us. If you feel I may have overlooked your request, please contact me again and I will try to help. Thanks for your patience. Jan | |

The second one has a _____ in it and that's where I would place your e-mail address so people can contact you directly for permission.
