I've been working on my family history off and on for about 40 years. Now that I am retired I spend much more time researching. Most of the time it is slow going since there seem to be many "mysteries" in my family, especially on my maternal side! I love visiting cemeteries to take pictures of gravesites for others, especially when I hit a roadblock in my own research. It gives me a lot of satisfaction knowing that I am helping others in their searches, and find most cemeteries are serene and beautiful. I also try to take "extra" photos when I'm out and add Memorials in case someone might be searching for them. When I add a Memorial I do a brief search of local obituaries and census records to add what information is available. If anyone would like me to correct, delete or transfer ownership of a Memorial I've added, please let me know. All is done with great respect.
