Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for many years. One of my favorite things in researching is visiting cemeteries. I love to just walk around the tombstones and try to imagine what the people's lives might have been like. I have been contributing tombstone pictures to this site to help fellow genealogists that are a distance away that can't visit their relative's gravesite in person.

My family has been a big assistance to me in my project for this website. My son, Trenton, my daughter, Alena, and my husband, Terry, have helped me take tombstone photos. So a big "THANKS" goes out to all three of them!!

Quote from Findagrave: "The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. THE ULTIMATE GOAL SHOULD BE TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, ACCURATE MEMORIALS THAT HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, REGARDLESS OF WHO CREATED THE MEMORIAL OR WHO MAINTAINS IT." Please keep this in mind when you request a transfer as it takes a lot of time and money to do research to add memorials to this site. I love working on this site, but I have run into some problems just recently.

I DO WELCOME ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS AND FAMILY LINKS. The more information the better!! I usually get the updates done within 1 or 2 days.

I have sent you in the past and now again a lot of information concerning the Benson family that are my direct relatives and I have researched them in my family tree for over 24 years now. On the Benson, Clark and Stewarts that were Quakers and moved to Indiana. It has taken me years to accumulate books, and history including bios on them and to me has been wonderful to learn about their lives. Some became famous and well known however most were farmers, but found it so amazing that in the early 1800's some of them went to college became missionaries and even moved to California and became governors, mayors, editors etc. I pass what information to you that I can and want you to know I am not perfect and do make mistakes but what I am sending you is real and fact. I also would dearly love to have a couple of the memorials you own as they are special at least to me in being a part of my families foundation. But because of all the flack on Find A Grave and contributors all over the place declaring they are the owners they went to all the cost and work to make it they will not transfer (not saying you but pretty much in general is that way) have not asked for a transfer from you.

I spend tons of time doing edits and only trying to link family and loved one together. I did this recently with the Little family, I enjoy seeing parents and children linked and spouses.

Thanks for your help

His headstone was in the eastern part of the cemetery, almost to the fence. I have a picture of the stone I will post as soon as I get it scanned.

Thanks
Thanks for all your hard work and effort to provide info and photos for all these memorials. I have found many of my ancestors in your research. I especially appreciate your transcriptions of headstones, as many hard hard to read in a photo. You have helped me immensely with documenting my family tree. Is it ok if I copy your info/photos to my tree? I do list you as the source of the information. I hope that's ok. Thanks again, I wish I could be trekking around those stones with you!

Hi, Lesa,
I need a little help with this cemetery. You have George Madison Oakley and his wife listed but I'm thinking his parents are also there. Wm Miles Oakley and wife Cora Spence Oakley.
Thanks for any help,
