I first started taking pictures of graves of only my relatives. I would return home do a little more research and discover that I missed a few. So out I would go to take a few more photos and the same thing would occur again. After my 3rd trip to the cemetery I decided I would just photograph the whole cemetery.
I try and do a little research on each of the stones that I photograph, using various resources. I use other people's trees for clues then try and prove those clues with documental evidence such as obituaries, census data or other records. It's a very enjoyable experience.
At first I also created a tree on Ancestry and was uploading the tombstone photograph's there as well but it became too labor intensive so now I only upload my relatives there. If you are would like to use my photographs for your family or upload them else where please do so. A link back to find a grave along with credit would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to use my photographs in a for profit venture please obtain written permission to do so.
My primary areas of interest for my own family lines are the names: Reifinger, Latshaw, Stufflet/Stofflet, Schlegel, Bower, Eck, Mertz, Day, Christman, Bock, Bennicoff, and Gruber in Berks, Pennsylvania, USA; Haney, Van Buskirk, Heller, Mills/Mill, Starner, Weiss, Hofner/Hoffner, Fetherman, Coslar, Sandt, Price, Houser, Werkheiser, and Brong in Monroe, Pennsylvania, USA.
I'm willing to transfer out of guidelines. If you are interested in doing more work on any of mine feel free to ask. Just take good care of each individual out of respect for their memory. If it is a relative of mine it may involve a little more discussion.
Koch uld it be possible to merge the following, and/or move them to the Lehighton Cemetery. They are currently showing on the Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, which is the adjoining Cemetery to the south. Thank You! 85694538, 85694615, 85695255. They are my Grandparents and an Aunt and I would like to make all the relationships align with where they are actually buried.
Latshaw in Morris Cemetery Hi Reif, How are you? I would like to know why you feel that the Latshaw's that you posted and requested a pic for are in Morris Cemetery. I have been trying to get these requests cleared up and there were no burials in the pre 1860's that are recorded. I don't want to try and locate stones that just aren't there. I have never seen ones earlier that 1860 and I go there a great deal. Thanks for any clarification. Mike
Transfer of a page? Hey. :) I was wondering if it would be okay if you could transfer the page for Jennie Pensyl Roth (63253915) to me? She was my great grandma who I was named after. Thanks in advance! :)
Reifinger Frederick Mr Reifinger: I am researching the reifinger family as my father's mother was a Reifinger. I have been successful searching back as far as 1750 (Frederick) but have had no luck with his origin or place of death. .Most of the successive family was either Montgomery or Chester Co. One generation lived near Chalfont. Would love to hear if you have found any more info. There are Reifingers in Berks Co who are distantly related. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks < Mike
