I have been doing family research for a little over 35 years now. I originally started working mainly on my LOCKLIN family. Over the years I have expanded my work on various family lines. Currently I am focusing on the following:|
My Paternal Lines:
LOCKLIN, FOKES, McLENNAN, FULCHER, MERCER, ZACHRY, GUTHRIE, BURKE, SMITH, LARGE, PAGE and many others connected to these surnames.
My Maternal Lines:
BENAD, HERRING, WALL, STEELE
My Sons' (Trent & Terry) Paternal Lines:
TAYLOR, GARNER, GRAY, DANCER, RUNNELS, WINKLER, PASEMANN
My Granddaughter's (Kayrinn) Maternal Lines:
HURT, RODGERS, ASHLEY, BIEHLE
My Grandson's (Colby) Maternal Lines:
HILL, LOVE, WEBB, BIEHLE
My Very Significant Other's (JR) Lines:
HAYES, BRANSON, BREWER, PITTMAN
If you are related to any of these lines, please contact me.
I have created a LOCKLIN group page on Facebook titled Descendants of Samuel Locklin (1744-????). If you are a descendant of Samuel Locklin, please contact me on Facebook so I can add you to the group page. Currently, we have 329 descendants in the group. We are sharing photos, stories and other information on the group page. It is a "private" group which is by invitation only and only those in the group can read the posts and information and view the photos added there.
My profile name on Facebook is:
Sarah Locklin Taylor.
If you find errors or duplicate/multiple entries, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you have additional information you would like added to one the entries, I'll be most happy to add the information for you, or if the memorial is of one of your family members, I would be pleased to transfer it to your FindAGrave membership ID.
I have had many family members transferred to my membership profile and have worked to add family information to all of them. Be assured that I would never ask to have a memorial transferred to my membership for the sake of numbers. That is not my goal. I have numerous Virtual Cemeteries that are set up to hold members of the various direct lines/branches of my family tree.
I would like to thank all of the kind contributors who have been so nice to create them in the first place and then graciously allowing me to have them transferred. I would also like to thank all of the kind volunteer photographers and those that photograph the cemeteries as a hobby. You are doing a great service to preserve these cemeteries through digital imaging and are helping to preserve the memory of those that have gone before us.
I can't tell you how many additional family members of mine have been found by Bud and his lucky charm, Vicky Sue. He has been most generous with his time in photographing headstones throughout a 4 county area of GA for me.
~♥~ Thank you, Bud and Vicky Sue! ~♥~
Another Special Thanks to Kerin McAfee for borrowing her Dad's 1948 Thorndale High School Year Book to scan the Senior picture of my Mom, Henrietta Marie Benad.
~♥~ Thank you, Kerin! ~♥~
Very special thanks goes to Juel and Blessings* Family Ties for sponsoring my Dad and Mom's memorials. Also, special thanks to Gods Special Angel for sponsoring my 1st Childhood Friend's memorial.
~♥~ Thank you, Juel, Carolina Angel and Gods Special Angel! ~♥~
Please visit Kenneth Edward Lipke [Juel's Dad], Maude Lola Gillespie Gaydon [Carolina Angel's Grandmother] and Gods Special Angel's Parents and leave a flower or token of respect.
Last but not least, I would like to thank the creator of FindAGrave, Jim Tipton, and his wonderful staff for one of the best Genealogical sites available online. You have truly created a great source and network for genealogists to search, find and contribute information.
My personal request to you....PLEASE, if you have a transfer request use the "Suggest a correction" and include your FindAGrave Contributor #, so that I can simply click on the link and transfer it to you. This process will automatically generate an email to you stating that the memorial has been transferred. It is also appreciated if you will include your relationship to the person you are requesting be transferred. I will not transfer a memorial simply by your "telling" me to transfer the memorial to you. I don't follow the suggested transfer guidelines, but it is nice to know what relation, if any, that you have to the memorial you are requesting. I have, in some cases, transferred High School Classmates, surrogate mothers, etc. Please include your relationship/reason for requesting the transfer.
Also, I would greatly appreciate it if you would NOT leave a correction or request to add additional information to memorials on the message board below - it makes it much more difficult to perform these tasks, especially on multiple requests listed in one message. While this may be easier for you - it is not as easy for me.
If you send an email to me with NO SUBJECT, it will be deemed as SPAM and deleted.
I hope you understand.
† God Bless All †

|GBK||Rev. Jesse Warwick|
Good morning Sarah,
I was surprised and happy to see your name as the maintainer for this burial page. This man (37948728) is my daughter's father-in-law's father.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe he was Jesse Sr. His son (my daughter's father-in-law) was named Jesse Hill Warwick, after his father and his mother (Helen Hill), so he is not Jr. which means his father is not Sr. (confusing, I know.) I will write my daughter's mother-in-law today and ask her the middle name of the Jesse who died in 1980.

Sarah, Thanks so much for transferring these to me. My grandfather was Vollie Lamar Clark and my mother was Dorothy Clark. Mother died in April of last year and left all of the family history as well a hundreds of pictures with me. I try to add information to Findagrave as I get time so that others may be able to find out more about our family. Thanks again, Grant
Charles father Clarence was married previously to a woman named Cleo Caldwell. They had a daughter names Anita Joy Hunter born in May of 1938. The couple divorced soon after and my wife's mother Anita really never knew her father.
Charles then is my wife's half uncle. She says she sees a resemblance. Do you know anything about this family? How did Charles die? The Hunter side of my wife is really a mystery to us.
Anything would help. Thanks

James Vories is brother to Francis Vories & both are buried in the old Baptist Cemetery at the corner of Hwy 55 & 421 (this cemetery)in Henry County. Both are children of Francis Vories Sr. & wife Catherine Montfort Vories. It is said that they had a stagecoach stop at their home on Hwy. 55, just about 2 miles below Campbellsburg. There are records that they had a tavern at this home, allowing people to stay there.

Hi Sarah, I found him today on Georgia Virtual Vault. Since you have the management of his parents, I've transferred his memorial to you. You have been so very kind to transfer my relatives, friends to me; I wanted to do the same for you. I trust all is well with you and your family. Birdgirl

While researching my Dad's shipmates, I found your posting. I just wanted to let you know our father's served together on the USS APc-50. As with your Dad, my Dad (William Ely) began serving when the ship was commissioned June 9, 1943 and served until they left the ship in August, 1945. I see your Dad was also a Mason--serving as Master in 1975.
If he were still here, I'm sure he'd have some great stories to tell about your Dad. He always referred to the crew of the APc50 as McHale's Navy, so I think they were able to have some fun during a very stressful time.
