Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am originally from Hartsville, Darlington, Florence area of South Carolina. I am related to the Watkins, Williams, Browns, Kelleys , Kellys, McDonalds, and many many more. This is a great site for building family history to pass on to our children and grand children. God Bless and have a glorious day!

Revelation 21:4
King James Version (KJV)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

P.S. Please take a moment to visit the memorial for Morgan Thompson . We went to High School together. Morgan had been living in the Boy's Home for a number of years. He haid been talking for a couple of years about joining the Army as soon as he was old enough so he could get out of the Boy's Home. He joined the Army and came by school to show us his uniform. He had a smile from ear to ear! I will never forget how proud he looked in his dress uniform. He had just completed basic training and was on his way to Vietnam. A few short months later we got word that Morgan had been killed in combat. God bless you Morgan. You made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free. Through the sacrifices of many thousands of men and women like Morgan we have freedom. He was only 18! Cherish this freedom and never let it be taken away.

RE: Freeman Burr Smith
Thanks for confirming that Freeman Burr Smith really is buried in a second Evergreen Cemetery.

There are some Champlin's buried in the Jacksonville Evergreen cemetery who are pretty closely related to Freeman's wife, Julia. They had changed the spelling of our surname to Champlain thinking they must be descended from explorer Samuel de Champlain, but he had no children.

Johnny...how in the world did you take this photo so quickly. I just requested this about noon today. Unbelievable..unless you live in the cemetery! Thank you so much for your service. I am going to learn how to do this for others in my area. A TON OF THANKS FROM OUR FAMILY.

Johnny,

Sorry I didn't mean to duplicate your work. The correct death year is 1959. She is on the 1940 Census. I had to uncover her marker to make the picture. It was buried in oak leaves. Any chance you know her maiden name? Her husband William I. is also buried in Evergreen but does not have a marker. He is buried in another section.

Please make necessary corrections.

Thanks,
