Bio and Links
Bio Photo Finding the graves of ancestors can be an overwhelming challenge. What started out years ago as an innocent quest to find the graves of my grandparents has become my passion. Vacations often end up with side trips to libraries or cemeteries, camera in hand, documenting the final resting place of my ancestors and special people. It is my contribution to others who share the special connection to those who are gone, but not forgotten.

BY Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

This is such a nice memorial. Thank you for all your hard work. It is so time consuming. May I save it to my ancestor. I have a family tree "The Layton Family Tree" there are some pics there and some info you are very welcome to use if you like. I haven't gotten a lot done. Most of what I find is on the internet and thanks to other searchers. I sure wish I had listened closer to my grandparents and parents.

Abraham Merrill Family
I am having a difficult time finding original sources/records for my ancestor, Abraham Merrill (1637-1722), who married Abigail Webster. Would anyone be willing to share your sources?

I believe his family / children were thoroughly mixed up with his brother Abel's family.

Thank you for any info you are willing to share !

Photo Request.
My complements and admiration of your dedication to Find-A-Grave. Have lost my family group photo of the family of Joseph Harman Hutto. I notice that you have posted individual head shots from this group photo. I would like a copy of the family photo if possible. It WILL NOT be used in any public forum or posting. This is for my personal use and maybe for my sons or grandsons in the future.
By the way, Charley Hanks Hutto (110601033) is the son of Joseph Harman Hutto (27044588} and Lacey Sowell Hutto (27044649) His wife was Lilla Shepard (110600963) Can furnish more info and connections if you are interested.
Thank you for your consideration, Neal Hutto, great grandson of Joseph Harman Hutto

Burial Arrangement for Jan Hooks
The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home in Cedartown is handling the arrangements for the family, but plans have yet to be announced about services.
The actress has family connections in Cedartown, and will likely be laid to rest alongside her aunt and her mother in a plot at Northview Cemetery, according to Tony Brazier from Litesey Funeral Home.

This was in the newspaper. . .

Thank you,

Deacon Rbt. Cushman died 1625 in England but was buried in Plymouth? I thinks there's an oops there.
