In 4th grade I picked up a book on Abe Lincoln and my life changed forever. It was the start of my love of history. I am more on Presidential history..their lives and their families. I am also interested in the family that have gone before me. I am happy when anyone contacts me with new information. Besides history, I am a lover of Boston Terriers. I have had them for 45 years and at this time have 5 females. Anything you can add to my records is surely appreciated.|

I guess you did not see my email that was sent several days ago. I sent it from my gmail account and I will send it again. I would like to keep in touch since I also descended from Susannah (Mathers) Beach and also William Wallace McDonough Jr. I remember Great Uncle Johnny and Aunt Rosie very well. Uncle Johnny was brother to my grandmother, Mary.

I also am a descendant of the Mathers, Beach and McDonough families and I am willing to exchange information online with other people.

Hello Cheryl, I would like to thank you for all the wonderful photos and info I have gotten from you. I also want to pass along some info I found on Charles Hitaffer (B:21Sep1890 D:12May1958). I found a obituary for him on ancestry.com that was published in The Washington Post and Times Herald on May 14, 1958. I would like to put a copy on this site for you to see but I can't save it to my computer so I'll just let you know what it says. It goes as follows: HITAFFER, Charles, of 1773 Lanier Pl, NW, on May 12, 1958. Husband of Nellie May Hitaffer, father of Mrs Lucille M. Nies, Mrs Doris E. Bonilla and Charles Hitaffer. 3 grandchildren survive. Services at Chambers Funeral Home, 1400 Chapin St., NW on Thursday, May 15, at 1:30pm. Interment Arlinton National Cemetery. I hope this info helps and thank you again for all your wonderful contributions.
