Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.|
~Henry David Thoreau
I was drawn to FAG after loosing a dear friend in a tragic car accident, as well as my only sister suffering a brain injury in a car accident on her way to school--she was a passenger, along with another beloved friend who passed away in the accident. That day changed so many lives forever!
I grew up in a small fishing community in N.C., moved away at 17 and served in the USAF Desert Storm. I've always enjoyed walking through cemeteries...wondering what each person might have been like in their lifetime. You'll find my "Pappy", beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law and our respective families among the many memorials I've added to FAG; thanks to each of you who take the time remember them! Also, thank you for stopping to leave flowers for our dear family and friends we've lost, to include our beloved family friend, Christopher Johnson, who lost his battle with leukemia and the many dear young friends whose earthly bodies rest near him. If you have a question about a memorial I have added, or would like a transfer, please email me. I will do all I can to help. I do my best to honor and lovingly remember those who I memorialize. Always happy to transfer family and friends. :)

|April Wasinger||a special thank you|
What a special blessing you are for all that you have done to enable visitation and memories. Both my daughter (Brittney Nichole Wasinger)and step-daughter (Courtney Elizabeth Stroud) occupy a presence here and for this I am so thankful.
|Collins56||Potts Family Cemetery|
Can you tell me where the Potts Family Cemetery is located in Monroe County?
My daughter's paternal G-G-Grandparents are buried there and thought she should know where to locate them.

|Yvonne DeHart||WILBURN, Son Of Presley Blankenship|
Hi, I don't know your name but I got your reply about sharing the Blankenship info....I'll send you an email with my direct line to Obediah and Mary "Polly" Blankenship.
|Yvonne DeHart||Mary Polly McCoy Blankenship and son Wilburn|
I found this Find-A-Grave Memorial created by you. I wanted to add that Wilburn Blankenship was Presley's son and not the son of Mary Polly McCoy Blankenship....he was her grandson. Wilburn is my great grandfather.
Also, I'd like to find out your sources/documentation for Mary Polly McCoy's parents....we have been searching for that for years.
Thank you in advance.
|Sandy Whittington||Dogwood Acres|
Dogwood Acres is shown as a cemetery in Douglas County, GA -- but there is no such cemetery in this county. Can you get in touch with me at email@example.com so we can figure out where these folks are actually buried? I appreciate the assistance.
Chairman, Douglas County Cemetery Commission
|Carl and Judi||RE: Gavin Family|
Thank you for the transfers! I appreciate you transferring the Gavins to me even though they're not close family members and don't fall under the usual FindAGrave guidelines for transfers. Hopefully a close family member will contact me some day and I can pass them along to that person. Until then, I'll take good care of their memorials.
|Miss Melanie||Small FYI|
I was reading the bio you wrote for Henry Rhodes where you talk about his first will that mentioned his leaving his plantation to son Thomas and son-in-law Daniel Marshburn. Then you mentioned another will naming his living sons Jacob, William, Henry, and James and daughters Mary Kincey, Barbara Rhodes, Sarah Rhodes and a second wife Elizabeth. I was just looking at the will in Ancestry.com and noted two significant issues. 1. The second will has him in Dobbs County and 2. it was probated on Jan 25 1774. The Henry Rhodes in the Montford Point Federal Cemetery died in 1780. I don't think it was the same man.
