I am so delighted to finally see a picture of my grandfather who was 35 when he died of TB from the war. I can now have his medals and picture framed.

Nice photo...where/how did you receive it?

Are you sure it's him?

I have come across your name on find a grave and was going to send you an email, but as I have a new laptop I have not set it up yet on outlook so leaving you a picture here.
I am researching men from the village and surrounding rural district of Cullybackey Co Antrim Northern Ireland who served in the great war and have a database of 430 men.

I would like to compare notes with you and possible provide you with any photos I may have and also check if you have any photos of the 430 men in my database.

Kind regards

Thanks so much for posting a photo of my Uncle Peter on his memorial page. He died before I was born, so I never met him and had never seen a photo of him before. I know my late aunt would be pleased to see his memory preserved here.

Thanks very much for adding his photo to his memorial. Every fall I try to add bio information about several war dead as part of my commemoration for Remembrance Day and greatly appreciate your efforts to commemorate them also.

I have no idea how this small miracle came about however I am soo ooooo indeed pleased to see a photo of this most precious soldier after a lifetime of thinking of him and actually living in his house which eventually got sold to us when the last member of his family passed away and there were no living family left. This family lost their only son, and his two sisters never married or had children...the end of a family many similar stories because of what WAR did to family trees. Thank you so much dear sir for giving us a photo of this most precious 20 year old soldier lost at war and to a whole family.
I hold it precious indeed. Our local church has a stained glass window that was sponsored by his family shortly after he died. It was by pur accident that I found this window, by going to a wedding of a neighbour...fancy that...another dot that got connected in the mysterious story
