I love doing Geneology and will be more than happy to help out a fellow FAG member whenever I can.|
If I have entered a memorial that is not a family member of mine and you are connected and would like to maintain the memorial, please send me the request using the suggestion option.
If I have entered a family member of mine that is also a family member of yours and you have information you would like added, please let me know as I will be more than happy to add it to the memorial.
If you believe any of the information that I have entered is incorrect please suggest a correction. I do not normally add false information, most of the information that I add hs has been found and documented, however we are all human and therefore there may be human errors made by mistake.
NOTE: It is a beautiful thing when someone not related to you takes the time to help a fellow member -- Many thanks to all who have and will help another in the future.
I will not transfer any of my family members memorials so please do request one.

|Michelle Cooley||RE: Bliss Memorials in Old Burying Ground|
This is a policy issue for Find A Grave, their guidelines are unclear and are causing confusion among members. This situation is a prime example. I contacted them to bring the situation as a situation to their attention so there is a better understanding for all.
In regards to the memorials in Old Burying Ground the only communication you sent to me was several requests for the memorials to be DELETED. I put an extensive amount of efforts into the memorials and to receive a request for deletion because you had a earlier number with burial unknown did not seem to fit the guidelines. You did not contact me either.
What is important is Find A Grave set out better guidelines. My understanding of the mission statement is final disposition, not that they once lived on earth and we only use burial unknown for recent deaths. I do realize that there will be unusual cases where a grave just can not be found, but the site is a registry for Final Disposition and according to how I read the policies Burial unknown is for a recent death and you hace 30 days to edit. Our opinions differ and that is why Find A Grave needs to set better guidelines. If your method is exceptable, then I can save myself hours of time and I will enter records as burial unknown. The Bliss family are my relatives and I remain hopefull as their memorial manager you will find many of their final disposition locations to answer some puzzles within the family. I feel bad that there are situations like this as it creates some misunderstandings among the members. It is a very complex sitution for Find A Grave. Colonial America is very difficult since people were buried on the trail, on homestead and mass graves for epidemics and sexton records were not kept or destroyed and cemeteries were eliminated to make way for progress. Even headstones have their errors. The challenge is before Find A Grave to determine the guidelines. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

You're welcome Shari. I asked my niece to help me upload the huge backlog of photos, and your message confirms that she's been doing it! I've been doing so much teaching this year, in addition to my full time practice, that I've had much less time than usual to upload the summer's worth of photos. And before I know it, we'll be going back to Vermont, so I was beginning to panic. But with Allison's help, at least the photos will be uploaded and then I can go back as time permits and add other biographical information.
Hope you're well,

There is also an Addison, Edward L, and Elizabeth H. Lyman buried with David in the same lot. I made memorial pages for each of them, and if you would like them transferred to you, just let me know.
