|Bio and Links|
Upon "googling" my great grandmother's name, I found a link to a photo of her headstone on Find a Grave. I was amazed, became hooked on this site, and have been contributing ever since.|
My hope is to leave a legacy here for my children, grandchildren, and others by adding data and links.
I am not trying to amass large numbers of memorials. I just try to add data. I enjoy helping others, and I appreciate that others have helped me.
I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.
Forgive me for not having all burial locations identified. It takes time to research, some whereabouts are unknown, and some obituaries/mortuaries currently do not list burial or disposition details. Those people still deserve to be remembered here.
Unless one of my memorials is my relative or close friend, I do transfer memorials if you can and will add information.
Please let me know if I have an error so it can be corrected.
I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.
I am happy to share gravestone photos with you to use in your family albums.

Thank you! I will when I find out if they are her descendants.
Thank you for the photos of her headstone. I can't think of the words to describe my emotions when I saw them for the first time.

I've transferred Waldo to your care. And I just have to tell you I LOVE your memorial page for Jiffy. I have an older dog who has really slowed down and I think I will have to do this when he passes on.

Thank you so much for using your photos to "find" so many headstones at Pleasant View and adding their memorials to F-A-G. It's because of wonderful volunteers like you that these cemeteries get completely documented. MUCH APPRECIATED!

|Little Lady||RE: McVay, McVeigh|
That's fine. Just interesting that they changed the way their name was spelled. I had a family name of Hoar and the guy changed it to Oar. And my family had a name with one M, but somewhere along the way some of the members decided to add two M's. So some spell their name with one M and others with two. It never changes the fact that we are all related. :)
His obit is in the Joliet Herald on December 15, 1984, Section 2, page 3. I cannot access it but the Joliet Library and the Herald both have copies.
If I took a guess, I would say he is at Memorial Park Cemetery just outside of Pontiac. If cremated, his ashes may have been interred/scattered there as well. I couldn't find anything else. Sorry. Pam
|MidwestMom||RE: Mary Holzhauer|
Oh, ooops! Sorry. Well, you got the idea anyway, I guess. I'll see what I can find on Victor. There have always been lots of Holzhauer's around here. Still are. I might be able to find something. I will let you know. Thanks, Pam
|Mark Patterson||Peter Poisal (1818-1898)|
You created the memorial page for Peter Poisal in 2012. ABT 1843 in WV Peter married Catherine Gallaher. She was born in 1821 in VA and died in 1880 in Butler Co., IA. Is she buried next to Peter? He out-lived her 18 years. Thank you. Mark Patterson
|Lorraine Hess||Floyd Tuttle & Betty Ann Robinson|
I have been researching the Tuttle family for a numbers of years, and the fact that Betty Ann Robinson married later in life to Floyd TUTTLE, caught my eye and, oh what a wealth of information, photos, and memorabilia you have on all the extended family. The detail of biographical information is astounding and is evident of extensive research on your part. I just wanted to congratulate you on a job well done !!

|James Clark||RE: Clark photos|
I am indeed. I seem to be related to half the people buried in Keithsburg Greenmound Cemetery. William Clark buried in Scranton, Iowa, is my 2x great grandfather and James Tripp Clark Sr's great grandfather.
|Deb Kent||Your Fabulous Photos|
